usually there are small vent holes to allow moisture to escape at the back of the unit. could have been as simple as the bug flew it while someone was changing the bulb
lens has never been removed nor bulb changed..car is 27 months old..very puzzling how it managed to squeeze itself through this ??? moisture holes..makes me wonder if it can happen again..if front lens, then maybe with driving and wham get sucked in under pressure..should not be any for rear lens though..

There was a service information a couple of years ago about this problem with E classes, and I have seen it firsthand. However, this is the first time I've heard of it on a C. In any case, the bulletin only said to clean them out and carry on. Funny!
