You're a fool to replace the COMAND just to gain Bluetooth connectivity. I assume you have the Entertainment Package which has the cell phone pre-wiring. Go online and look at the price for accessories, the phone system is $765 and the Bluetooth module is $408 at wireless4mb.com, it's probably a few hours labor, so I would estimate $1,400 - $,1500.
You can't beat the MB OEM systems -- you are better off investing in the factory Handsfree system rather than getting rid of the COMAND and trying to replace it with something else.

DVD play back with 6" monitor
Ipod integration (very fast)
Ipod Video on screen
DivX video
CD/DVD mp3
12 million POI
BT add-on (most important to me)
Audio improvement (great improvement over OEM deck)
XM radio, Sirus Radio with XM Nav Traffic Competiable
full detail POI database, with phone number search, address search, Vicinity search.
My memory kinda suck, there are more, but all those that i remember on top of my head, for 850 USD, it owns OEM navi big time.

The 2007 C-Classes are not pre-wired for phone kit, all the other years are. So if you don't have the package with the cell-phone prewiring, i don't even know if its possible OEM.

You need to buy the Handsfree System
The 2005 has Handsfree pre-wiring, but you would need to spend $1,500 as I detailed in the other response. It's $765+$408+Labor. I think it's a pretty sweet system.

Pre-wiring
In my first reply I assumed he had the Entertainment Package which includes cell phone pre-wiring, check out the MBUSA website. I figured if he had COMAND, he would likely have that option. So, 2007's do have pre-wiring if they include the Entertainment Package.

Yeah, thats where I noticed this in the first place. This is a change from previous years, the pre-wiring was just standard. I just didn't know if he explicitly stated that he had that. I think the cost is still rediculous, but at least Bluetooth connectivity is supposed to be standard on the W204.

I did not have it but my car was wired for phone. Hopefully Mercedes will get the hint and just make all there command unit with Bluetooth built in. What a novel idea
I just got the Mercedes Bluetooth puck for my system and it works to well. The range is like 100 feet some times. I go into a store and it stays linked to my car, even with the key off, so when the phone rings you have to answer it in the car.
