Insurance Prices
Hey Guys,
Moosejaw got me thinking, I wonder what the rest of you are paying for insurance. I'm paying $2530/yr ($210/month) through ICBC. Thats with a 25% safe driving discount. My options are:
Third Party Liability: $2,000,000
Collision Deductable: $1000
Comprehensive Deductable: $300 ($200 Windshield Deductable)

Well, I'm in mass. so auto insurance sucks...I'm a high step driver because I was a maniac from when I got my license until I was about 19. Now I've had almost 2 incident free years, so it should be going down soon...so basically without getting into too much detail of my coverage....almost half of my insurance is because of surcharges...I pay over $300/mo for insurance

since we are from the same town i figured yours would best compare to mine.
Anual rate: $2,125 (With 35% discount)
Third Party Liability: $1,000,000
Collision Deductable: $1000
Comprehensive Deductable: $1000
i set my deductables high b/c i am driving a courtesy car at the moment. but i also have 35% discount + i have an AMG. without my discount i would be paying $3,323 a year. i was paying about the same as you when i had the C230.

that means no passengers for you huh kev?? Take my advice and drive that baby slow and with pride..man I made stupid driving decisions when I was 16-18, and now I'm paying for it for at least 7 more years...don't drink and drive!!
Now that I drive such a nice car I drive like a granny when I'm not in a rush...

yo i'm paying 75 a month on my amg
and 85 a month on the same rx-7 ICBC used to insure years ago.
My deductible is 500 and my limits are $35K/$50K
Still doesn't beat the deal i had when I was a kid growing up in Vancouver.

as a matter of fact, I have a stupid surcharge appeal hearing on April 5th. Not for an accident, but for a pothole that made my oil line explode and caused the engine to cease on my blazer...and they wanna surcharge me! Man I'm going in there w/ a chip on my shoulder...it was clearly a road hazard and not an accident and how can I be surcharged for something that's not my fault!!!

$500 deductible comprehensive / collision on both the Benz and Jeep, everything else is the maximum that Geico offers. Reported 15k miles/year on the Benz, 5k miles/year on the Jeep
$673/6 month. Progressive wanted more than triple that.

C32 AMG
Strange, I have Progressive and mine is only $311 per 6 months. I have $500 on all my deductables. I have had 2 speeding tickets since I have owned the car. Then again, gas is only $2.36/gal for 92 octane here too!!! Everything else here sucks...

But what about the rest of your policy? Do you have 300/500k protection, rental coverage, etc? If so, that's an amazing price
