My gas sipping C-Class
I just did my fogs a few weeks ago.
I had done my high beams (H7s) last year.
Here's a few camera phone pictures:

I went with 6000k all around. Low beams, high beam conversion, and fog conversion. The biggest difference was with the high beams.
I leave every morning around 5:20am for my 57 mile commute to my store. I travel on quite a few back roads with deer, so the lights have helped me see far down the road.

I also put a conversion in my wife's 2005 4Runner's low beams.

Great stuff!

Scott your car looks absolutely fantastic for the mileage you have put on it. What is it up to now mileage wise?

Your car makes me hopeful!

Thanks, but it's actually looking quite worn. the front end needs a new paint job. All the bugs, rocks, and sand hitting it at 80-90 mph each day, has really taken a toll on the finish.

on the inside, the glove-box has that coating coming off, like what happened to my armrest.

all cosmetic though.

I will turn over 180,000 miles on my way to my store in the morning.
i'll take a picture.

Hey buddy, i live in the same area and have the same problem. Please let me know if getting the setting changed works for you. Also let me know how much it costs. I think i'm going to have to get the same thing done,

I guess those little things are to be expected after that many miles. My car has just over 50k miles now, and I see little signs of wear in places. It's like a told a guy in my beach thread - no matter how much we stress over it, the cars will get older and will lose value. Every wear mark has a story to tell.

For 180,000 your car (from the pictures) looks great. I've seen cars with much fewer miles look much worse!

Thanks bro, let me know how it works out with that setting change. If it works out good for u, i'll go get it done my self this week. I used just zap straps to hold my ballasts in place.....i think double sided tape in our rainy weather will probably be no good after just a short period.

Double-sided tape that comes with HID kits will fail, yes.

Depo projectors? Did you read this thread at all? Information is all over this board on those. Read this thread or STFF for Depo projectors. LOTS of info.

I was not being rude. You posted a question regarding Depo projectors in a thread that already has info about them in it and the board is saturated with info on Depo projectors. I was merely pointing this out before someone really was rude to you about it.

Also, for the record...

From the auction listing:

Made by German FK-Automotive's OEM manufacturer, DEPO, ISO 2001 Certified, Quality is Guaranteed!
So yes the brand name was clearly in the listing.

Beam pattern on mine is quite good. Apparently it is on Fitty's car and IntoTheBlue's car. If you have a really messed up pattern something is wrong in your installation. It won't be perfect but "really bad" isn't accurate.

if you guys need resistors / capacitors i bought these ones... for 30$ shipped.

http://cgi.ebay.ca/2x-HID-Kit-Comput...3%3A1|294%3A50

Anyways,... my kit is the 35W from VVME.com
It flickers, and i get the low beam check errors, so i got these error cancelers,.. hopefully they work,... they are shipped but have yet to get them.. I will post back if they work.

^ Back again, that my was original post.
The cancelers did not work for me!... either i got 2 defective ones,.... or my car is messed... i did the install correctly... -> no HIDS came on... swapped them... etc etc.
So basically without the cancelers they still work.
I just have to turn on the low beams for 10 seconds before starting the car for them to stay on

Anyone know where i can get this done if my dealer refuses in London Ontario? Xenon = present setting

Hmm thank you for that. I'm in the UK and were about to order these, as I'm having the same problem with a 35W kit. It turns on without the car running perfectly, but as soon as I start the car, the lights turn off. And the low beam right, left error is produced. Best bet it to change the setting I guess?

As far if you have an Mercedes specialist with a star they could do this for you.

*Update*

Took the car to the Independant today regarding some other fault. And asked him to do the xenon present setting. He said he did do it, but the computer couldn't talk to the aftermarket HID kit I have installed. So it didn't work.

Weird? Either he couldn't do it, or he couldn't be bothered to.

The computer doesn't "talk" to the HID kit. Setting the Xenon=Present function just means the car's diagnostic system doesn't think there is a bulb out when only 35w are being used by headlights. Your mechanic was you.

Tried these warning cancellers. It worked once for the left low beam. Then that totally stopped working, even when I took the warning canceller off. Right low beam still works, but without it.

So this warning canceller pair didn't work.

Could the bulb have gone on the left one?

Bought a second set of error cancellers. Nothing, caused the HIDs to flicker/strobe. So I uninstalled the HIDS and gave them to my cousin.

I've just found this site, they say there ballasts cause no-can bus errors. And they have a returns policy which seems legit. What do you guys think? Worth it?

I have been reading this thread and can’t make any since out it... I am such a noob on this topic. I have a 07 c230 non - BIX. Will this product produce a nice HID beam and work on my ride w/o flickering and/or error messages? Can someone please point me in the right direction?

I want to do my fogs too but have no idea even where to start with those...

hey 07 Benz,
to be honest, with a lot of people buying kits some get lucky and some don't.
Apparantly Mtec (google it) is a brand that 100% guarantees no errors and trouble free because it has a digital ballast with built in error cancelers. But they cost like 300$.

VVME kits run you around 60$ shipped with express.

I know some people who have installed VVME kits for fogs, lows, and highs on there W203s with no problems... However, I installed it for my lows and as it is for USY,... i have problems with the errors.

I brought my car in to my indy for the xenon=present, but I don't think he even set it since it still has that error... I have bought ebay error cancelers and they don't work for me, and i returned them.

Right now, i basically took out the kit until i figure out what to do,... until then I bought some cheap PIAAS to stick in for now.
