Red face Is this a good deal? $849.00 INCL shipping

Hi, all. I have a used 2002 c240 and need to replace my tires. However, I hate how little they are (16") and want to upgrade to 17 or 18" rims and tires.

Please can you cut and paste the below link, scroll down about midway and tell me if you think this is a good product AND if it will fit on my 2002 c240. I love the way they look and they're within my price range but, sorry, I'm a girl and this tire/wheel buying has got me frustrated: I'm worried about the cost, if they'll fit, etc. - I could really use some good advice:

thanks for helping...

Check around a few of the MB forums, sometimes you can get take offs from C, E, CLK or SLK that you may like. For example, now the E350 sport comes with 18" wheels and there are plenty of people that remove factory wheels when their car is new. I put C 17" 7 spoke wheels on my kids SLK, looks great, specially compared to the ugly 16" wheels. The advantage of take offs is they come with good rubber and factory MB wheels and usually you can get them for not much more than just the tires alone. Then sell your 16" wheel to people in the north in the fall that need them for snow tires.

Check on your local craigslist.
You'll like find a deal. I did! AMG wheels from a CLK with barely a scratch, (17" 7/5" wide front, 8.5" rear) well a little, with Michelin Pilot Sport 2 tires without about 1/2 the tread left for
$400! Of course I had to watch religiously for about 2 weeks, and be the first one there.
The wheels alone sell for 400-500 each, and the tires, not installed are over 200 each. You do the math. I stole 'em. And the guy said to me
"gee I didn't think anyone would want these". Ha!

Wheels from CLK, SLK and C Class will fit.
Stock offset is 37 but if the rear is wider, like
8.5" than it's ok if it's 30 in the rear.

Wheels from other models will not fit.
Avoid junk wheels, meaning knock offs, (IMHO) from Ebay.
Too many people end up with them bent etc. after a few months.
FORGED wheels are what you want, which is what any stock
MBZ or AMG wheel will be. Takes a lot to bend 'em, they'll last forever unless you slam into a curb at 50 mph like I did.
