Aggravated...So I took my car to Giant Glass this morning, they said that my crack was too small, and that my insurance would only pay to repair it. I said to the annoying lady, look...I'm the one that drives behind this windshield, and its already begun to spider, and how is it you can tell me what my insurance is going to cover. "Well, then you need to get a claim number, then." So what's next, do I just wait, its not really big, but its already spidering, and would probably be big enough in a month or something....or do I try and get a claim,...or do I tap a hammer on the spot and take it to a different place, lol

If I were you I would wait as long as you can safely stand it. I had a windshield replaced on my C320, about $275 for OEM glass, because of a chip on the passenger side. Less than a week later I got cracked hard on the drivers side while driving on I-5 by a mud chunk falling off a semi trailer at about 70mph. Then about a month later I got tagged on the passenger side too. Needless to say I was not happy. Those stupid dings started creeping and are both about 18 inches long now. I have a strange feeling that there is a higher than normal amount of flex or stress on the W203 windshield. I have never had dings crack so far and so fast in any other car I have ever driven, even my super stiff 944Turbo does not do this. Also the idiot who installed it used a "universal" fit weather strip where the glass meets the roof and it immediately started pulling out of the channel and started flapping and banging and the black sealing glue he used got all over my roof, ARGH!! When I replace it again I am going to watch the whole process in person and DEMAND that they use all MB parts including the weather stripping. And yeah, my MB dealers parts department has the window stickers. You can even get an AMG window sticker if you want those 15 extra horses.

I am working with my dealer and insurance company as we speak to get mine replaced. The dealer wants $850 to replace it and the insurance doesn't want to pay it.

Update
ok... after two days of shopping around and i have decided on ppg glass:
http://www.suncleanglass.com/sunclean3.pdf
i know this study is biased because its conducted by suncleanglass which is owned by PPG industries... but i browsed through a bunch of forums comparing PPG to OEM and to Pilkington and they mostly all were in favor of PPG.
and got quoted for $347 installed with lifetime workmanship warranty from this place:
http://www.autoglassdepotonline.com/
The dealer quoted me for around $550 for the glass alone with no installation.
THE END

The manufacturer should be printed on your windshield under the MB "Star". E, posted above that all the luxury models are Pilkington and sport models are PPG. So, yours should be PPG.
So I have been on the phone most of the day, getting quotes. What is bizzare to me is all the quotes were MORE for aftermarket PPG glass, then the OEM PPG glass from the dealer My last quote was $848.61 for PPG installed, and $552.78 for OEM. Going OEM through my insurance with $250 deductible.

my aftermarket quotes were the exact same for PPG and for pilkington (both installed for around 350). actually pilkington was a little bit more, but only by 5 or 10 dollars.
i called one place to see how much it would be for labor if i brought them a glass and they said 120 installed. maybe you can buy a glass from here and get it shipped and installed over there for around 400-500 total?
at least you have a low deductable. my deductable is 500... so i'm just doing this out of pocket.
