Doing Lines...

when I get home I'll check the offsets for ya. in fact, the rears have 3mm spacers, and I really don't need the spacers and can take them off at any time, but that would mean that I would need to get new lug bolts and new wheel locks for the rears and the rears wouldn't stick out as much...
The brake fluid flush is something that is included in Service B, right? I'm due for Service B in 4000 miles, and I figured instead of paying $400 for a ridiculous "inspection"+oil change+brake fluid flush, I'd just get an oil change+brake fluid flush, and have them do this mod. This would be a great upgrade for my car!
Stupid question, but the new brake lines works with any rims setup right? (I'm running stock right now.)
Thanks!

it should work with any rim setup.

although, after i machine 5mm off to make the rear 36mm, will my Stoptech BBK fit?
The Best of Mercedes & AMG

That is an awesome mod. I am the type of person that does look inside of the wheels as I pass a modded car. BBK is one thing, but when I see SS brake lines, I know two things, this guy is serious, and no way do I want to try to pass him in a curvey.

I figured you'd appreciate this mod... Even though it's somewhat of a "bling" mod, it's not really one...
other brake-work to be done shortly:
- CLK55 AMG rear brake kit
- PORTERFIELD R4-S pads
hopefully all done before the May 12th Rose Bowl meet,
along with other goodies !

I do take issue with using ATE blue or gold (they are identical, and the color difference allows you to see when the old is fully flushed out.) brake fluid in W203 cars. The ABS/ESP unit on these cars is impaired if the specified fluid is not used. The intricate passages of the system require the specified fluid to work as intended.
The viscosity is double in the racing fluid @ 1400, compared to the 700 found in ATE SL.6 fluid. I am not sure if SL.6 is the same fluid as that approved by Mercedes, but the MSDS looks very close. There is also ATE SL, which is NOT the same as SL.6. ATE sells SL.6 in 500 liter containers. That indicates to me that only vehicle manufacturers are buying this size for use in new cars.
For their part Mercedes says:
"Mercedes-Benz DOT 4 brake fluid is available
in one liter (Part Number A 000 989 08 07 01)
and five liter (Part Number A 000 989 08 07 11)
containers. This is the only brake fluid recommended
by Mercedes-Benz for all applications.
This fluid is also used in the differential lock
mechanisms of the G-Class model."
I use Blue & Gold in my Porsche, and it works very well for my level of skill. I would be shy, however, to put it in my Mercedes. The ABS unit is more than I make in an hour.

.However, braking has been better and screeching noise has been eliminated.
