I am having trouble programming the Homelink transmitter in my car. Have any of you done this successfully with a Raynor Commander garage door opener?

i had a ***** and a half time to program it to my genie garage opener, but i looked over the homelink web page and it seemed much easier
hear are the instructions i followed:
homelink's rolling code instructions
try that....
if not check to make sure your door is compatable

I also had a bit of a problem programming it at first (Sears, not a Raynor unit). I ended up doing it out of range of my house since the door kept going up and down when I tried doing it in the driveway. Don't know if that had anything to do with it, but when I programmed it away from home and returned to try it, it was fine. Also, follow the instructions carefully regarding the flashing light on the mirror, etc.

mine took a while for it to get programmed. just long enough that i thought it wasn't working but i kept holding down the buttons... and now it works great.

Use your Tele-Aid and have a MB Roadside assistance come over and do it for free. It's a Mercedes not a Kia. Why hassle? That's what the dealer told me to do.

I was able to get Homelink to work on our Raynor commander GDO. I was not successful following the poorly translated instructions from the MB manual, and thought I was about to buy a new receiver for our garage door opener. Then, on a hunch I downloaded instructions from
http://www.homelink.com/programming/gdo.html
The process became a lot clearer, and worked first try.

The instructions in the manual were not useful at all in helping program my non-homelink door opener. But, there should be a small spiral-bound highlights booklet that came with the car. That booklet's instructions were alot clearer to me and I was able to program the unit without further delay.

Out Of Control!!
I had the opposite problem of MB-BOB. With the small book, I was able to program the car to the remote, but because I have a rolling code opener (Genie), I had to go to the manual to see how to do this. It was quite easy though. Pushed in the button on the garage door opener (had to get a chair to do this), I had my wife press the Homelink button on the mirror, and then I pressed the button on the garage door opener again, and presto... I was done. Worked great.
Back in August I bought a contoller that attaches outside the garage to the wall that you can enter in a code to open the door (it was a Genie too). Programing this was the same, except that I didn't have to program the controller first (like you do with Homelink to the remote).

The first time I tried it I could not get it to work (I had the garage opener unpluged from the outlet so the door would not go up and down). The second time I pluged the door opener in and then I could program my homelink.
