Does anyone else think the coupes should have a seperate forum?

I have been noticing lately that most posts I go into looking for sedan information end up having something to do with the coupe. This is not bad, I am just saying, that perhaps the coupe should have its own forum so that the sedan guys can find posts relative to their cars easier. Just a thought....

out of all MBWORLD forums, this is the only one with the sedan and coupes together....!!!????

I think it would benefit both cars to have them separated but.....whatever....for some reason coupe owners really really must like us sedan owners...

No other class has sedans and coupes since MB decided to make the S-class coupes a class of their own.

As a matter of fact, since the CLK is based on the C platform, they should be combined with us.

Actually, when this came up previously, the sedan owners also were in favor of keeping the coupsters around. Primarily because they felt there was enough in common between the sedans and coupes to keep the coupe people around (that there would only be about 10 posts a day on a sedan-only board was another reason ). Although now there is so much discussion regarding modding that is coupe specific it wouldn't surprise me if the sedan owners would now prefer if there were seperate forums.

Cheers, BT

Especially since about 8 of them would be bickering between MB-BOB and Rev on whose wife had the bigger Texas hair. :p

In principle, I'd prefer them separate: I could monitor the coupe forum as needed and for entertainment. However, the only real reason I'd like this is that there are esthetic differences between coupe and sedan (or, in my case, wagon) owners. I'd never own the coupe which I find an ungracefully truncated design (same for the chopped-off BMWs). We looked at one when we purchased the C320 and my wife said "Ugh!" I agree. We'd rather buy (another) Saab than a C230K. (Of course, you coupe-owners are free to express your opposing opinions but they won't move me.)

I also suspect there are other differences (age, income, etc.) which might substantially influence the outcome of most of the polls.

OTOH, it works OK this way.

Isn't the station wagon a 4 door coupe? I think there should be a seperate coupe forum as interests are different. Someone with a station wagon isn't going to be interested in high performance and handling and people with the coupe aren't going to interested in how many sheets of lumber fit in the back.

I have an idea and it doesn't require any work from the forum owners. What if all the coupes move to www.csportcoupe.com and leave this forum for the sedans? I hate having to check both places and get the same info.

Would be good if sedans / saloons were separate. Although this would be good for entertainment value.

Good one, Buell.

Damn, am I going to have to register over at csportcoupe? Too many forums, too little time.

The original idea of csportcoupe.com was great. But it turns out that the post rate over there is too low and most people still stick with this forum.

We haven't had "big hair" in Texas since the days of Gilda Radner's "Rosanne Rosanna Danna" hairdo, prevalent on 8 of 10 gals in the NE corridor several years ago. Yep, the days of big hair are gone... they're focused on aftermarket *****, instead. Not that that's a bad thing...
