edit: ((froma few posts down, just want all newcomers to read first
)I know its bad for the car. I leave for the Air Force on June 19th. Now while that is no reason to beat the **** outta an amazing car.. I simply wanted to have a little fun before I have to jet and let the car sit for a minimum of 2 years. First few checks I get are going to have any and all matinence that the car needs ((though nothing has popped up, Ill still get it checked and put new tires and all on)) and then once I get the car back it will be babied. Its been babied since the day I got it ((novemeber of 06)) so I figured, brand new tires.. why not have a tiny bit of fun?

dont think of the c as something to 'whip' in parking lots. but i guess its comedy while livin in the moment
Also, the threading on the tires is still very good. I would say it just broke it in :P
Come on guys, give credit where credit is due. You KNOW that was fun to watch.

but your going to let the car sit for two years? that sounds like AF academy to me. enjoy the phase program, i've been in it for only 9 months and its freaking horrid and depressing. me? i'm going ROTC officer pilot in a few years, once i get a degree, which wont be too hard. ROTC is the way to go, and its guaranteed.
On a side note, looking back at last night, while it was immensly fun, it was also immensly stupid. I had a bad power steering pump before the awsome slides... well lets just say now today I dont have a steering pump at all. >.< It gets fixed on monday though. 650 bucks for the pump, 102 an hour for labor, but luckily its still under waranty. Let it be a lesson to anyone, while it might be fun and a good story... sometimes having fun can cost a little bit of cash >.<

Hope you treat your AF experience with more respect than you did a fine automobile.
Think of the money you just spent. Was it worth it?

(my warranty will be up shortly, so I want to put it on my list of things to have the dealer check.)
I have just over 30,000 miles on my baby. You can tell when the pump goes by many things. Engine whine when you turn on your car, engine whine when you turn your steering wheel, hard to turn steering wheel, Steering Fluid leaks, or boil overs.
Also, to get the 05 to do burnouts, you have to turn on dyno mode.

anyways- what job you signing up for? you do know NOT to go open general, you'll most likely end up security forces and WOW, theyre job can be very very boring, especially in the lower ranks, they make you stare at airplanes on the flight line for twelve hours, or salute officers at the gate for hours on end.
if you get a guaranteed job, its the only way to go. dont let your recruiter tell you anything different! whats your AFSC?

And yes, its under waranty, but if it wouldnt be, a steering pump is 650 bucks and labor would be 102 an hour. :P
i wanted to travel and have a crazy party life...so i became a loadmaster! check ride on monday the 14th- then my wings are permanent! oh and your tech school is prolly less than twenty weeks. and to let you know, i thought i'd be going overseas too, but for the non-prior servicemen, they almost never send us overseas. but thats for the flying squadrons, they may do it more commonly for you. its a great way to live life as a party, and relax and let the government pay for everything. so good luck to you.....heres the thing: everybody wants to know how hard boot camp is, etc etc, its cake man, boot camp isnt the tough part, tech school is the tough part, depending on what tech school you end up at and how long it is. here, my tech school is downright evil, and treat us like total *******s. and we have a tech school thats almost a year long!
