A fun little video...

Hey guys, I got bored and decided to take a video doing some power stalls and some massive smokeouts.. but it evolved into this. Tell me whatcha think

http://youtube.com/watch?v=_WHr0p0TThw

edit: ((froma few posts down, just want all newcomers to read first)
I know its bad for the car. I leave for the Air Force on June 19th. Now while that is no reason to beat the **** outta an amazing car.. I simply wanted to have a little fun before I have to jet and let the car sit for a minimum of 2 years. First few checks I get are going to have any and all matinence that the car needs ((though nothing has popped up, Ill still get it checked and put new tires and all on)) and then once I get the car back it will be babied. Its been babied since the day I got it ((novemeber of 06)) so I figured, brand new tires.. why not have a tiny bit of fun?

umm, so you hate your tires, tranny, and brakes?! lol jk. id like to see some drift videos of a C to be honest. Gotten mine sideways, which is a lil fun, but never anything hardcore.

dont think of the c as something to 'whip' in parking lots. but i guess its comedy while livin in the moment

:S actually, I told him to try and push it ((im the driver)) but honestly it didnt do anything I just had to let up on the brakes and give more throttle and it did it itself. Watch again. After he first pushes, it stops, sticks in one spot, then on my own I get it to pull around.

Also, the threading on the tires is still very good. I would say it just broke it in :P

Come on guys, give credit where credit is due. You KNOW that was fun to watch.

hmmmm... joining the air force? i'm fresh out of boot camp, only 11months in... just finishing up training to be an enlisted aviator. 1A231 actually, loadmaster.

but your going to let the car sit for two years? that sounds like AF academy to me. enjoy the phase program, i've been in it for only 9 months and its freaking horrid and depressing. me? i'm going ROTC officer pilot in a few years, once i get a degree, which wont be too hard. ROTC is the way to go, and its guaranteed.

Im full on active duty. Leave for basic, 3 days after that go to the tech school.. then once Im done there I get shipped. I was only guessing 2 years for the car to be sitting. It all depends on where I get stationed. If im oversea's i dont want to have it shipped over with me. if im stationed in the states, first chance I get, im pickin up my baby.

On a side note, looking back at last night, while it was immensly fun, it was also immensly stupid. I had a bad power steering pump before the awsome slides... well lets just say now today I dont have a steering pump at all. >.< It gets fixed on monday though. 650 bucks for the pump, 102 an hour for labor, but luckily its still under waranty. Let it be a lesson to anyone, while it might be fun and a good story... sometimes having fun can cost a little bit of cash >.<

Nice burn out. Your is the C230 Kompressor correct? For some odd reasons, i've tried it on my car many times but the ESP always kicks in. But the C230 06' and 07' can be easily done, hehe loaner car

I blew 2 power steering pumps doing burnouts/powerslides. I dont understand why doing this should break the pump?

Sorry, buddy, this was just stupidity.

Hope you treat your AF experience with more respect than you did a fine automobile.

Think of the money you just spent. Was it worth it?

There is no need to insult me. I was just trying to share a little of the ((costly, stupid, whatever else you wanna throw in)) fun.

I have just over 30,000 miles on my baby. You can tell when the pump goes by many things. Engine whine when you turn on your car, engine whine when you turn your steering wheel, hard to turn steering wheel, Steering Fluid leaks, or boil overs.

Also, to get the 05 to do burnouts, you have to turn on dyno mode.

people, people!!! its a freaking car. nuts and bolts, iron and aluminum and tin. who cares? he knew it was stupid fun in the first place. how many times have ya'll messed around in your cars knowing it wasnt the best for them, no matter what you've owned? and if you really and truely havent, then go out and do it. its just a car. thats it. nuts and bolts, iron and aluminum. beat the hell out of it. and when you're done, sell it and get something else and beat it. as far as protecting his investment, well- cars are the worst possible investment ever, so not much warrant there. stop "tsk-tsk"-ing him, and waving your fingers. i drive my car like i just stole the damn thing, its a slip-o-matic and i still pitch it around corners. you know what i learned from beating on it? its very stable when drifting.

anyways- what job you signing up for? you do know NOT to go open general, you'll most likely end up security forces and WOW, theyre job can be very very boring, especially in the lower ranks, they make you stare at airplanes on the flight line for twelve hours, or salute officers at the gate for hours on end.

if you get a guaranteed job, its the only way to go. dont let your recruiter tell you anything different! whats your AFSC?

wait, you have an 05 with less than 50k miles. shouldn't you be having them fix it under warranty? (just don't show them the video...)

Im going in under the Electrical AI. Highest AI spot to, so basically im open for any jobs under the electrical field.

And yes, its under waranty, but if it wouldnt be, a steering pump is 650 bucks and labor would be 102 an hour. :P

thats pretty cool man. me? i know electronics well enough to know that i can work on my own stuff, but wouldnt wanna do it for a living, same goes for maintenence and stuff, wouldnt wanna work on aircraft all the time, or ground vehicles or anything......not saying anything bad about your AFSC, simply not for me i wanted to travel and have a crazy party life...so i became a loadmaster! check ride on monday the 14th- then my wings are permanent! oh and your tech school is prolly less than twenty weeks. and to let you know, i thought i'd be going overseas too, but for the non-prior servicemen, they almost never send us overseas. but thats for the flying squadrons, they may do it more commonly for you. its a great way to live life as a party, and relax and let the government pay for everything. so good luck to you.....heres the thing: everybody wants to know how hard boot camp is, etc etc, its cake man, boot camp isnt the tough part, tech school is the tough part, depending on what tech school you end up at and how long it is. here, my tech school is downright evil, and treat us like total *******s. and we have a tech school thats almost a year long!
