Vancouver Euros Meet Sunday May 20

Hi Everyone,

I met a couple of you at the SFU meet last month and thought this could be a good time to meet up yet again. I hope I'm not the only MB out there this time.

I thought I'd post a heads up on a Vancouver Euros meet happenning on Sunday May 20th. I know there are a handfull of you that are going down to visit Sunman in Seattle. It would be a great time to show off what you had done down there.

This is basically a meet and greet where we will have a later lunch (about 1:30-2:00) at Mustang's Bar & Grill (Aldergrove) and cruise around for a bit as well as some photo ops. Did I mention there are stickers available?

This is open to all in the GVRD area and there are VE members from as far as Maple Ridge and Cloverdale coming along. I'm not sure where we are meeting to start things off, but I will update this thread once things fall into place.

Vancouver Euros Thread

Think of this as an opportunity to meet some of the people out there and familiarize yourself in preparation for the summer BBQ meet.

There's been a couple of responses from MBWorld members that are on the VE board about attendance.

1. chixdiggit
2. 14cue
3. power-face (maybe)

This is how it looks so far... meet at BCIT at say 12:00? We can all drive down highway 1 to Mustangs where we can congregate as a large group to shoot the ****.

Seeing that we're out there already how about a cruise out to either Abbotsford or even Chilliwack if you don't think Abby is far enough. The other option is to cruise back down highway 1 across 2nd Narrows and up to either Seymour, Grouse or Porteau Cove. By the way who is bringing the camera? It will be a good opportunity for a photo op.

BCIT would be ideal as there is a large parking lot where we can all meet and everybody knows where it is. Being right down the street from the highway is also a bonus.

So far the people that are interested I know of so far are:

1. chixdiggit
2. 14cue
3. power-fade (maybe)
4. Harry_Madan
5. STI_JL

If you're interested chime in and add your name to the list.

Sounds good. I'll throw it up to the VE guys... although they are indecisive. Now they've deleted the thread and a poll started to see where the final destination is Aldergrove or Whiterock. Everything is up in the air right now (again). I will keep you all posted... Plans should be solidified by Monday.

Me neither.... jeez. I thought I'd take the initiative and solidify something but I guess not. I give up. I'll just let Prab make the decision... although it would be interesting if the poll came up 50/50

UPDATED Meeting plans.

Okay, after going back and forth and a lot of indecisiveness, plans have been finalized as follows. We will be heading down to Whiterock for lunch. Reservations are being made so I need to know now if you haven't chimed in, or your plans are changing.

Meet at Lansdowne Mall; Zellers corner nearest Kwantlen.
Depart at 12:30 for Ocean Park Pizza and Village Pub in Whiterock.
Photoshoot after lunch at about 3:00

i'm not sure if i'll trail-all the way back to lansdown, but we will see what happens, non the less i will most likely see u in white rock, i can meet u as soon as u merge off the highway on King-George. But then again i might just show up in richmond for the hell of it, it depends on if i really want to go for a drive that day.

I think there are a few guys from the VE group that's going straight to the restaurant. You could meet us there if you don't want to double back in Richmond.

I just think it's a good idea for everybody to meet and get to know one another so that when the annual meet does occur, the supposed BBQ afterwards would be more fun instead of a group of strangers.

Who doesn't like holding hands and singing Kumbaya?

the more the better, but from past experiences its really had to get a big benz group together for a meet. wither ppl just dont care or are too buzy. but i think the invitation to the meets are always open to everyone. Just let us know that u are coming so if we decide to go for a drive early we can tell you or wait for u to arrive. see u all there
