For now, no. I like the look of the stock sport rims. I'd consider upgrading to the 2007 sport rims though.

$820 USD before shipping. The navi project is not quite complete. I still have to buy a GPS antenna and both nav disks (US/Canada and Europe), and then see if I can hack them to work for me.

Very Nice job. I too have an 05 C230SS I bought in Oct 06. No real mods besides jerry's illuminated sills.

But nickgailloux, I did notice a few things on yours: your's doesn't have the pwr rear sunshade button on the dash, but it did look like you have the moonroof? In the US, the "sunroof package" includes the rain sensor, sunroof, and the pwr rear sunshade. I guess it's different in Canada. Do you have the other 2 (sunroof and rain sensor)?

Also noticed you don't have the towing/off button you'd press if you had to have your car towed. This would be the 3rd button on the right side of the dash, between the headrest down button and the passenger's heated seats button. Is this the case with all Canadian cars? If so, I wonder how you'd have your car towed. See attached pic.

BTW, very nice and clean install. I too have the COMAND (US Spec that came OEM with the car), and I love the 05 interiors.

later cars do not have tow sensors. They are removed on 07 c classes in the USA as well. Packages are different depending on the country the car was purchased from. USA gets more standard features than any other country. Ever see a C class with Cloth Seats, no A/C, and manual rear windows?

Canadian cars do not get the alarm, therefore they do not get the button to turn off the alarm for towing. Also, the rear sunshade was not included in the sunroof package. Our sunroof package gets you the sunroof, rain sensors, and auto dimming mirrors.

I'm loving the look of my interior but its not complete until I get a digital climatronic unit....

Hopefully this week I'll be doing the aux input. Once the comand is fully operational, I'll be going for digital climatronic. Down the road I want the bluetooth puck. I'm prewired so it shouldnt be too much hassle.

Very much so...

Sunil took the seats out of the car, removed the leather, and put the heating pads on. Then he reattached the leather and reassembled the seats. Took about 1 hr per seat. Then he added the wiring that goes from each seat to the switchrow, and replaced my old switchrow with a new one with the appropriate buttons. No coding nessecary for the heated seats. Total time was about 3 hrs. Cost was a bit more than heated seats would have been if ordered factory, but still worth it IMO. I got such a good deal on the car (bought it used) so I can justify making it my own.

Sunil did it with his computer.

Negative, I haven't pursued the project yet. Unfortunatley my mods are on hold for a little bit. We just bought our first house, so I've been "modding" that instead, lol. We've been renovating a lot so my time and money is aimed there for the next while.

All you need for the programming is for one of the guys to program that stuff in? lol a little confusing.

- Programmed active fogs.
- Programmed seat belt chime off
- Programmed fuel left in litres/gallons.
- Programmed tire pressure warning.

Well, all you do is hook up your $15,000 hacked Star Diagnose computer system to your car, and from there its pretty easy. If you need exact step-by-step instructions after that, just let me know once you have the Star Diagnose

No but seriously, I have no idea exactly what Sunil did with his computer. I mean, I watched him, its pretty much point and click, with maybe a few gotchya's, but owning or having access to a Star Diagnose is really step one. The one he uses is not the same as the one all the dealers have. It is somehow unlocked to allow him to program things that are not normally allowed.

Not to say that what Sunil does is easy. He makes it LOOK easy, because he's a wizard-pimp.
