the c240 is slow and is not great to race. however, you can beat a maxima, focus, and an accord. i have raced my c240 a bunch of times, they are not that great. if you race a new 2.0 a4's you can keep up with them in speeds above 80 mph. but other than these cars, you are really limiited to slow cars

I'm wondering about the Maxima too. We had a 1997 Maxima SE and the VQ in that thing hauled *** for that time period. Ours was automatic and I researched and it said 7.1 seconds 0-60 for the 1/4 I get 15.5 seconds.
If this guy is talking about any of the newer Maximas, total BS once again.

Pretty good little resource I found here which gives you 0-60 times on a variety of cars over the years: http://www.albeedigital.com/supercou...0-60times.html
OK, so let's see. He has the C240 at 8.8 seconds, and a 99 328 at 6.9. About the only thing you are going to be "smoaking" is his exhaust fumes. And if you are talking about recent Maximas, there is just no way. I've had the C240 as a loaner, and I had to flog that thing all the time. The C class is a fine car, but I really don't place it in the performance category (AMG's excluded, of course). MB went more for luxury with the C.

2005 C Wagon (No snickering please!)
I take my C240 to both Willow and California Speedway. It performs flawlessly at both tracks.
Certainly the nicest yard goat to take tires from the trailer to the pit, move drivers from the motel to the track, and 16 cases of adult beverages will ride safely from the store to the BBQ area after the race.

Wow! I wish I had searched some of your posts on here before referring you to the other site. You really are a KID!!! I thought you were cool but... well... lets just leave it at I thought you were cool. Maybe thats why you rear ended the M5 today!!!
I didnt even read everything, read the first few posts and said **** it! the order goes... C230, C240, C320. Now some are Kompressor some are not. You think your fast huh? Keep up the speed demon stuff
BTW... If you bring any of this non sense over to EM, you will get LOTS AND LOTS of loving. Just keep that in mind before you post.
How did daddy take the news about the car?

Actually, the m111 is no joke and has been around since the w202 chassis. There have been members on this message board that have gotten the power very high with the m111 (2002 coupe).

Lets see, naught borrow the one is minus five is five, three borrow the one minus eight is five.
C five five, oh, a C55. Now that car is soooooo damn quick. I went for a ride with a factory driver on the runway at El Toro. Scared me so bad I drove home like I was in an ice cream truck. (slow and shivering!)

My C320 cannot keep up with a Maxima, and as we all know the C320 can murder the C240; hence that V6 Maxima will EAT a C240.

Maximas FTW. We had a '83 and an '87 back in the day. The 240 would probably "smoak" the '83 but i think the '87 would've given it a good run. They're called 4DSC for a reason. Take a look at these beasts:

BMW 323Ci is the lowest hp BMW car in US and even though I put 180K miles on mine, it will easily beat any c240 on the straights and in curves. stock bmw323 with a good driver can do 6.9 secs to 60 (which is my 60 time). 328-330 models run to 60 less than 6.2 secs.I was looking at a kompressor version and even that one is 7.2 secs to 60 which is still slower than a stock 323. Plus it is supercharged 4 banger, which means you have to keep the revs high to have any kind of power vs. NA 323 which has a lot of torque from 1500rpm and always quick and fun car.
Owning both I still enjoy driving the BMW more even though it is 7 years old. I hate to say it but C-class looks good but when it comes to performance it lacks quite a bit.
