Better believe it. I posted the MotorWeek Review of a 00 323ci which they got 6.5 secs to 60mph in my previous post.

I completely agree with PC Valk's earlier comment - this thread is really trashing the C240 - it especially kills me when I see C230 members trashing the c240 when their car would be blown away just as easily by various infiniti's, lexus', bmrs, gti's - the list goes on..

I own a C240 - I've driven the C230 SS - it didn't feel much faster - it certainly didn't blow me away. I think both models are awesome - if you really want something fast - get yourself a c32 or a c55 - or build it yourself.

Let me guess, she was still accelerating hard when you lifted at 140

My C320 cannot keep up with a Maxima, and as we all know the C320 can murder the C240; hence that V6 Maxima will EAT a C240.

it did happen it was actually my friend, in both cases, with the maxima and the a4, the a4 was ahead of me, i was keeping up for a little while, until i passed him, but i think that my friend got scared of the high speeds. And my friend with the maxima i did beat, we raced before a one lane merge, and i was able to get in front of him. Im not sure wut maxima he has tho ill check and let you guys know. As for the accord i honestly, do not know what type it was. it was a pos

Maximas have always had V6s. Yuo might have had a chance if it was 1990 or so max or older but anything newer than a 95 (3.0 litre) would have handed your azz to you on a platter. Trust me. There is no replacement for displacement

This is the funniest thread I've read since Session's Rachael's Rays Big Beefy ***** thread earlier this morning...............

This kid's just another idiot who knows nothing about cars. Let him live in his delusions.

we honestly arent trashing the C240...we all know its slow, just like we know the 230k is slow. Thats not te issue, the issue is LSrev being an idiot. we are trashing him for what he is saying and his arguments. Of course we know its not a dragracer...we OWN them! lol, we've cme to terms with it and, honestly, its still great fun to drive and looks damn good.

The issue is that the original poster has been trash talking since he got here, and as cars go, the C240 is dog slow, even compared to the C230SS.

Understood and thanks guys - but one correction - the C240 and C230 are dog slow compared to <plug in your 6 second (to 60) cars>.

You haven't driven a C240 if you really believe it is dog slow compared to a C230SS.

In fact I'm driving a brand new C230SS rental because my C240 is in the shop for a new Transmission Control Unit. I've driven one previously for a day - I have this one the entire week and I'm driving the hell out of it. It is pretty fun - not 'blow me away fast' as compared to my C240. It feels like my C240 with perhaps a tuned exhaust and intake change.

It is that subtle difference - kind of like on earlier cars when you added a header, exhaust - some basic boltons. You expect big improvements from your changes - but when you drive it - you are a little bummed.

I love both cars - they are both sweet looking and fun to drive. I may not have the AMG kit - but my black opal, xenon headlights, funnel spoke wheels - looks pretty close. I just need to lower it.

Thanks

My little brother drives a 01' C320 and I drive a 02' C240. Me and him raced for fun. From 0-70mph he basically creamed me, but around 70+ we seem to be going at the same rate until around 120mph. I have no explanation for that.

I have a 4matic C240 and I feel it's slower than heck. But that's not why I bought it!
