yea... why would all my worrries always come true...
and i don't know since they drive Hyundai, they fuel with cheap gas, so which mean they won't give a damn about the car but just fill with the cheapest thing they could afford, but if i say i will do the filling job they might just drive 300miles a day....
well, i offered her son my bike, at least it made my day when i see him fall
yea he said he didn't ride a bike for 7 years...

wow...did your mom even consult you about it?? I mean, especially if you spent money to mod it, and its your car in every way but the pink slip...thats low. I mean yeah, the car is hers, but did she pay for those rims? Did she pay for the front bumper that might get curbed? I mean that rediculous...have you spoken to her about it? I mean tell her its really personal t you and you dont want someone else driving it.
I am sortof in the same boat as you (i actually paid my dad for the car, but the slip is still in his name for insurance and title purposes), if my parents ever lent my car to ANYONE...even my SISTER, i would ****ing stab someone, and they know it. The only person who can drive that car besides me is my dad.
But seriously, that sounds like a friggin invasion of privacy to me, especially if she didnt consult you about it.
talk to her rationally, bring up the modding argument, etc. This seems rediculous unless of course there is something you've omitted to make it seem worse than it is

go buy two jack stands right now...jack the car up on the stand and remove the wheel that's curbed and say you are going to drop it off to have it repaired because "they curbed" it.

Ok, i don't even know why i'm replying to this thread but it's just too wierd not too. I still don't understand why someone would give their key to their car to a neighbor. I mean sometimes people give a key to their house to a trusted neighbor in case they get locked out. But why would your mom give your key to them and then let them use your car as they please.
Anyway...as others have said, just take it to the dealer, get the key deactivated. This way they still have the key, and your mom doesn't know that you went around her back (until they try to use it again.) But if your car is in your mom's name you will probably have trouble getting the key deactivated at the dealership. And if you lose the only key you have left, you are f***** until they can order a new one at the dealer.

Mercedes is gone physically, but still in my heart.
I feel like we're missing out on a part of this story. I can honestly say I've NEVER heard of ANYONE lending a car to the neighbor because they trashed their own car. I've heard of people taking a neighbor to work or the grocery store one day because their car is being repaired or what not, but not in my life have I ever heard of this.

I'm gonna come off as harsh, but you had it coming. If my mother randomly lent some whack off neighbors my car, I would have ran over there and roundhouse kicked their asses for accepting the offer.
