I like to conveniently forget, but actually it's Steve that keeps reminding me. Sometimes I think he wants to mod my car more than I do. But that's OK.
We've talked about Distronic and Linguatronic, CLK AMG seats, Coupe Euro-plate bezel, and other stuff in the past, so he knows I want it... just a matter of time & money.
By the way.... depositing some $$$ in the account for the latest round of goodies being shipped. I'll send Steve an e-mail with confirmed deposit slip.

Thanks Wanda ! You're the bestest !

Fotis, it sounds as if Steve's visit wasn't as easy for you as it was for him. Good for you to survive your own sightseeing tour, although I do think it would be best to stop walking when talking when Steve's in Athens again. This way the breathing won't give you any troubles, either.

greetingz,

BigSis
Wanda, I didn't want to bother you with more and more emails of the list I've been compiling of different installs needed on my car...LOL.

Like Carlos, it's about time and money for me also. Once I have the opportunity and $$ to do it all, I will be emailing for sure. Steve may need a whole day for my car...HAHAHAHA

Fortunately and unfortunately, no. The fortunate part is that I was able to get my body kit, which (from what I know) will be the ONLY one in North America. It cost me a pretty penny and I'm not even sure how much painting will be.

I'm shooting for Fall now for MBenzNL purchases, but not sure how realistic it is to put together money for all that I've emailed you guys about.

New mods from Steve!

Steve visited Greece again and worked on my car again. The results were (as expected) amazing and I think that my car is finally getting there. Here's a (hopefully) complete list w/ what I got:

[228] - Auxiliary Heater w/ Telestart
[231] - Garage door opener
[330] - CD Holder
[573] - IsoFIX in rear seats
[600] - Headlight washers (!)
[614] - Bix w/ auto leveling
[810] - Harman Kardon sound system
[863] - Digital / Analog TV Tuner
[875] - Windshield fluid heater
[950] - AMG Rear/Front bumpers & spoiler lip
[E79] - iPOD kit
[---] AMG exhaust
[---] Emergency trunk release (not available in Europe)

I think that my car has still a long way to go but it's getting there!

Hey, Fotis! Even though the Greek install trip didn't start off smoothly, Steve was able to do some work after all. Next round of mods early next year. And a visit to our workshop in June..? Sounds great.

It would be really nice to meet you next year. To put a face with the name.

Take care, and TTY soon.

greetingz,

BigSis

Fotis got an analogue / DIGITAL tuner installed. And from what I heard from Steve, digital TV gives a really good picture!

In motion was enabled by an aftermarket device that sits in between the TV tuner and comand unit.

There is no digital MB TV tuner available for the pre 2005 C-class anyways. In your case, you would need to install the analogue TV tuner (D2B) and add a digital tuner to one of the RCA plugs. The digital tuner won't be controleable from comand then.

In Fotis' case, he got an 'all-in-one' MOST based TV tuner.

greetingz,

BigSis

Yep, preferably STEVE... with a bunch of goodies. Or else 'just' a small part.

I am still waiting for Steve to get me some answers. We have 2 (!) Christmas days in the Netherlands, so today is - actually - a holiday as well.

*sigh* I am addicted to work... what can I say?

Picture is amazing especially for digital channels, even when the car is moving at a speed of 50mph. I think that the double antenna is doing a great job!

But I have to give credit to Steve for telling me that the H/K sound system would be the best mod for my car. He was absolutely right. The sound is completely different and has transformed the cabin into a small home theater.

Can't wait for distronic & vented seats!

Somehow I get the feeling that Sofia must have been very happy with the heated feature, when driving back home again!

Steve told me that the rear CLK seat fitted quite well, and that he is pretty sure he can get you the missing parts, too. Modified and all.

Hope to meet you again someday. It was great to have you guys around!

Steve and Wanda are the best. I purchased merely a $30 SDARS bracket from them for my wagon and they have nicely and promptly answered all of my dumb questions in trying to figure out installing/configuring the Sirius module, etc. on my own.

It's not like I bought a bunch of stuff from them, yet they have taken their valuable time and given me info. Great people. I wish Steve could have swung through Oregon when he was in the States.

ffotop..thanks for sharing all those pics. that is cooool stuff.

Cheers, Greg ( FYI to all... I mistakenly bought the newer MOST style Sirius satellite reciever that works in the 2005 and up model years for my 2004 wagon. I will be selling it and looking for the older D2B style. Please PM me if interested. It is a complete factory Sirius sat radio set-up for 2005 and up Model Year )

I don't have a CLK cluster. It's the standard C cluster, it has all the functions needed for TPMS and distronic, therefore no need to change it. As for the Auto Leveling, I honestly don't remember what is needed. What I do remember is that it is not an expensive installation and of course it is required in several countries when bi-xenon lights are present.

You can always ask Steve & Wanda, they can tell you in great detail what is required for your car.
