ffotop..thanks for sharing all those pics. that is cooool stuff.

Cheers, Greg ( FYI to all... I mistakenly bought the newer MOST style Sirius satellite reciever that works in the 2005 and up model years for my 2004 wagon. I will be selling it and looking for the older D2B style. Please PM me if interested. It is a complete factory Sirius sat radio set-up for 2005 and up Model Year )

Console with roller - Remove N.A. cupholder: I did the exact opposite :-)

What is this: Digital read out HVAC controller?
Could you please post some pictures from your mods?

Please do, I'm dying to see what goodies come w/ US spec cars. Been trying for ages to convince Steve to install the emergency trunk release in my car... one day I guess he'll probably do it to get rid of me :-)

Contrary to my belief, it's an almost direct fit. Just swap the coupe's front seats for the CLK's and you're done, unless of course you want to add the power seats/heated/vented options where you need to replace the front door panels, add some wiring and electronics and a switch board with the extra buttons.

For the rear seats, you can fit the CLK's with slight (back) or no modification (bottom cushion). Unfortunately you lose the bench were you could squeeze 3 passengers, but you gain a lot in return: more comfortable seats, an armrest and heated rear seats (the heated option needs a lot of Steve's magic).

If by east coast you mean new england, I suggest you go for the aux heater rather than the clk interior. I remember winters there could freeze your smile in an instant.

Fotis,

Can you post pictures of your "European Car" with the "American Console" Please...

Do you have any parts remaining from the OEM set up?

Cold...It is hitting here, I think -2 is the high forecasted for 1/15/2009...I am glad I have a coolant pre heater and a garage!

Thanks,
Jake

I don't have the US console. The only US parts I have (but not installed yet) are those for the emergency trunk release. The euro console has more options that the US console, so I decided to keep it. Steve kept most of the parts... I've changed more than 50% of my car. Not enough storage space for all the spare parts.

I know that US car come with teleaid and sat radio, but I know that the sat radio is part of the US comand not standalone => impossible retrofit.

I was wondering what other options you have that are unavailable in Europe.

For a moment I thought that New England was not part of US anymore

Here are some more pics: japanese language, date in cluster menus, tank volume and Steve having fun with the cluster (the one with the oval shape).

@mac911: Damage? On the contrary, he fixed several factory problems (not a joke).

@MJ50: I do have distronic but still have a long way to go until I can say "I'm done"

Coupes don't have exit lights under the front doors, this is an option available only in sedans (at least in europe). I could give you prices but that won't do you any good since the price for a mod depends on your model (and yours is not MOST based as far as I can tell) and on your optional equipment.
If you do insist on knowing the prices for certain mods, send me a PM and I'll be more than happy to tell you.
