on tha advertisement I bought from it says this...
To which I did and still got the standard harness.
NOTE : upon payment, please notify us your car's year, make and model. A special digital wire harness is needed for certain higher end types of car to by-pass the computer error message.
(no additional cost)
Specially Dodge, Chrysler, Mercedes-Benz, Jeep will definitely need special digital wire harness to function properly.

It's jumped across the pos and neg on the wires going from ballast to
H7 connector inside the light housing, like the the little spade lug connectors
That is not the same as a relay.
The relay harness, is just that.
Here's the wiring diagram they sent me.
No ignitors though.
Interestingly, it only connects to one light.
Shoot, this is not going to work.
Or I need to put resistors.

Now why do people buy MB, for me it was free car washes, free maintenance, service loaners and they are much closer to my house than Hyundai. Ever since Deiter Z. bought Chrysler, MB quality has soared. I hope selling them off won't hurt MB quality.

How can you compare MB to Hyundai. MB consistantly has poorer build quality and lower JD Powers dependability scores and Consumer Reports ratings than Hyundai. On top of that Hyundai's warranty is double MB, why, because their stuff works. MB won't stand behind their cars like Huyndai. So do I want MB or Hyndai quality HID? I vote for Huyndai, even if they cost a little more.

I know, may not put MB on the list anymore either. But the free car washes are even more fun. My car stays pretty clean but I take my daughter's car in, setup my laptop and work from their waiting room, breaks up the monotony of working from home.

Which dealer do you tend to like the best when it comes to the waiting rooms?

Theres a reason why they keep raising their prices, because people are willing to buy. To my knowledge their stocking even more kits now. Ever wonder why they never choose the option of going to price war vs "china" kits that always end up doing it and putting each other out of business?
"cheap ****" is easily obtainable, therefore the massive amounts of people obtaining those kits are going at each other with price wars. What about the manufacture's in China? They don't care once you buy it off the factory they could care less how their product is advertised or sold, they made their cut of the profit already. Price control..? Yeah right.

hey guys, I purchased a 10000K HID kit from the guy on ebay and installed them last friday. No problems so far, no errors and no flickering. They look sick and I plan on getting another set for my fogs. I think HID's really take this car to the next level.

If anyone is looking at these, I have a 6500 kit, WITH Relay kit.
I've lost interest in this project.
I paid 120 WITHOUT the relay kit. Relay kits usually cost another 50 bucks or so I think. So I'll sell mine WITH relay kit for 120, OBO.
Make an offer.
Advantages to using the relay kit is avoiding any possible electrical issues.
Disadvantage is you will likely need resistors.
12V @ 55W= 4.5 AMPS E/I= R so, thats 2.6 Ohms
If you can get set to Xenon, then
12v @ 35w= 2.9 A 12/2.9= 4.13 ohms.
You'll need some big resistors, and need to mount them out of the way, as they will get hot if you use the relay kit.
Send PM

Sorry you had problems with yours man, but when I ordered mine, I just sent the guy an email and told him I needed the special digital harness and mine works perfect w/o the resistors or whatever. Although I did notice today that you have to start the car before you turn the lights on, or else they will flicker. If the lights are set to automatic (which mine usually are), then they work fine anyway.

Like I said, make an offer.
You don't have to use the relay kit, and I DO have the special harness for MBZ.
It uses a 10000 microfarad capacitor...10 picofarad? Same thing...
to fool the system somehow.
Make an offer. $100?
I wonder if a smaller resistor and capacitor would work?

Another Choice...
I was considering buying the kit this thread is about, but I chose not to. I've heard they aren't the same as what's pictured in the listing. Also, I've read complaints about them on this forum and others.
I found a different cheap kit that seemed to have better feedback, and they actually ship the exact kit that's in the picture. The ignitor is integrated into the ballast (unlike my last McCulloch kit), which is nice, but the ballast is just a little on the big side.
And before people blast me thinking I am an eBay seller, I am not. I am a newbie to this site, as I just bought my 04 C230 Sedan Jan 31. I posted once about MTEC bulbs that I bought and liked (1/3 of the price of PIAA's and Raybrigs), and I got blasted because people thought I was an eBay seller.

I bought a "Lumenux" 8000K HID kit off eBay for my W203 in February, and haven't had any problems with them. I'll post pics once I have my Depo's installed next weekend. They ship from Hong Kong, and the bulbs are advertised as being made in Japan, but I think they are made in Korea, which is at least a big step up in quality from being made in China. These are advertised as having "smart ballasts" don't won't set off the headlight error. I had a headlight error pop up on me 2 different times the 1st week the kit was installed, but NO flickering ever. I just pulled over, turned off my car, turned it back on, and the error was gone. I haven't had an error message in 2 months now.
I paid $180 shipped with express shipping (EMS from Hong Kong). Got the kit in 3 days.
