Now I have been on ebay and see these "GENUINE MTEC XENON HID KIT MERCEDES W203 C230 C240 C320"

and it stats that you will have no warnings messages and that the kit is made in Japan and made for BMW and Mercedes cars. And that it is the only plug and play kit for Mercedes and Bimmers with no problems. I have just bought s class style LED taillights with the wrong connectors and just dont want to have any more problems with lighting.

If anybody has any good advice, tips or actual products they have used please send a message. I want to get the right kit and have no problems. I will also get them installed professional.

In addition if you have any advise or info on these HID kits (copy and paste)

I bought these and no they are not installed yet. I am waiting to get my HID kits and do everything in one shot. (itching to get it done).

The link above is where I bought them on ebay. great quality but kinda slow shipping (because of custom issues at the border) not the seller fault.

I will be posting all my pictures when the car is finished.

I appreicate all the replys but there is not real clear cut answer I have received. Still looking for a name of manufacture or type of HID kits if anybody still knows.

Cheers,

there ok for the looks. There sub par when compared to real hid projectors. The beam width is kinda small too. if your driving in the city it should be ok. i wouldn't drive on dark country roads with them though.

in terms of ftermarket projectors, the depos are as good as it gets. you can always retrofit a superior pojector in time, but the depos itself are usable. and you can either get yellow foglight bulbs, or look at my sig; i have the yellow film.

edit: an you'll need an hid kit.

Yellow film is the cheaper way to go.

the ONLY yellow fog bulbs that look good out there is PIAA ION YELLOW, and those roll about $80.

The cheaper alternatives, such as NOKYA or LUMINICS JDM yellow is a bit more....golden than yellow, and doesn't shine as beautiful as the PIAA ION bulbs.

heres a picture of the PIAA ones that I had before I decided to do HIDS!

heres a picture of PIAA ION YELLOW city lights that I had on my car for about... 10 mins before I transferred them over to the E class!

then heres a picture of yellow fogs on Leo's coupe

but then again....HID FTW. just get OEM BI-XENON and HIDs, its the way to go, I thought changing bulbs was good, but then I got smart and went OEM-BiX and HIDS!

Much Appreciate It Mu9enx and advans, thanks for the pics.

I was wonder what "retrofit a superior pojector" meant.

and i like the "PIAA ION YELLOW" foglight and i might go with that. i was wonderin if i just needed to buy the bulbs and just plug it in the foglights. and also i was wonderin how the flim would shine or is it just for looks? I usually drive the benz at night.

Sorry for the noob questions =O.

when i said retrofit a superior projector, i meant as in a much more clearer OEM projector. the Depo's themselves were made sort of half assed, so it doesn't have a clear cutoff and it has many "hotspots." hot spots are spots that has more light focused, but it's random and doesn't look as good as OEM. a superior projector would be something like an RS4, S2000, TSX, TL, etc. temjinx did a projector retrofit that beats OEM mercedes Bi-Xenon.

as for changing out a foglight bulb, it's easy. just undo the fender well cover and then replace the bulb. as for the film affecting output, i wouldn't know; my fogs are busted, lol.

that sucks man,

One PLUS about the fog light film is, it protects the fog light lens from getting struck by rocks and cracking the lens!

for PIAA ION YELLOW, you'd need 9006/HB4 for fog lights.

HID kit for Headlights, a H7 kit from one of our vendors, make sure to get them with load capacitors or your lights will flicker

if you want to see a superior projector, click on my tsx link on my sig. If you get the hid kit, just make sure they are properly aimed.

2005 C230 Kompressor SS
Modified Depos with sl500 Projectors

Thought this was interesting so I decided to buy it.

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Merec...mZ260269513131

However, I see that the seller states there's some minor repairs needed.
"Important notes: Both headlights have adjusters that have jumped of track and need to be put back on track so the low & high beams can be adjustable! The inner driver side headlight is missing a mount tab. Passenger side headlight missing screw. These headlights can be properly mounted with just too sides. Look for in the photos for areas circled in RED!"

Just wanted your opinion on them. Does the light output look good?

good price i think, to make mine cost over 500 easy, and the lights were probably a lot cheaper than these

if you know how to fix it. I don't see why not. be glad that the seller is nice enough to list the issue with the headlights in the auction.

its a ok price, but the guys on crack if he paid $1000 for those projectors. There bosch e46 projectors, that you can get between $75-99.

The depo projectors are e46 projector replicas, but with a inferior reflector bowl and lens. He just unscrewed the depo projector and screwed in the e46 projector. It probably took him about less then 1hr of work for both.

The bosch projectors are the kia's of the hid world, but still better then any depo projector.

Only issue is the broken head light tab. With the bottom tab broken there's going to be some vertical travel on the head light, since that tab is the part that keeps the head light from moving up and down too much. You can probably do jb weld repair job, but there's no guranutee it wont break again.

For everything included it a good price for $350, if you can't retro your own lights.

I saw those on ebay as well. He's a local guy down here by me. I emailed him and I'm hoping he can help me do this same thing to mine if need be. I picked up a set of Depos with the HID kit and haven't heard great things about them. If those are crap still I'm going the same route as the guy in the auction did.
Be sure to let us know how they look once you get them installed.
