Hi
Weather warnings were out yesterday in uk. Loads of rain and wind to go with it. First chance I had to try the car out in this. I was travelling 200 miles from London on motorway. Really impressed with how solid the car felt and how little the wind impacted on the car, must be the low drag helping. Many cars were having to slow down considerably and were waiving on the road. I managed to keep to around 80 with no issues. This is where the quality of the drive and safety really pay off as I have never experienced this standard on any other car I have driven.
I now have 4500 miles on clock in 6 weeks from new.

yup, I have the 16's. I found out you can put 225/50/16 on the stock 16 inch rims instead of the 205/55/16 that come stock. I need wider tires that work better in the rain. The dry performance of the stock Michelins were ok, but in the rain, umm no! I like the Kumho ecsta, and the Yokohama AVS ES100, under $100 for my size tires. Got pretty good reviews.

in charlotte we have gotten 6 inches in the last 3 days. Its helped out alot but still not enough. But at least a few days of sunshine will make up for it. No rain till sunday for us, time to wash the car!

C230Jeff, we have been under drought here in PA, although not as bad as you. But it finnally started raining a few weeks ago, and it is today. It is very welcome.

I guess I would argue that narrower tires do better in the rain than wide tires. The theory being that the contact patch pressure is actually higher with a narrower tire (same weight car across a smaller area).
Am I missing something?
