Hmmm, interesting idea Russell...

I had the pleasure of running with Flip's intake scoop on my car the last 24 hours and the low end throttle response (and engine noise) on my otherwise stock engine was noticeably improved. The good news for coupe owners is that the scoop was a perfect fit and sucks like you wish your girl would!

You all realize that mig888 isn't a shop and that he didn't do this for mass production, right?

He just did this for himself, initially, as a "one-off" mod.

take some initiative like flip did. mad props to people who manuf. their own parts. gives that 'custom' feel. if it was manuf for others, then the original wouldnt be a 'custom' would it?

not hatin, but seems ppl are lookin for bolt-ons rather then puttin in the wrench time on their own.

I know we got some thinkers and gear heads in here...

Not worth the time and effort he would have to put into each intake. He could, but the time he would have to invest is WAYY too much for the little profit he would make off each one.

Now, not to speak on his behalf, but if the w203 owners would fork up 1G per intake, he may actually consider it...

Show me a list of people that would actually pay a good amount of money for mods on the m271 and you'll make a believer in me. Otherwise, I can guarantee that the majority of the people in here wouldn't even pay 1/2 that 1G amount just for an intake!

Wasn't that the price of the GruppeM M3 CF intake? Maybe $800?

waaaay more than that and it was a LOT more CF and a much larger piece. but for the price, it didn't add much power, if any.
