And I don't contest that.
I was stating a difference in media, not content.
If you are going to refer to two different systems, the media type is a poor way to do it.
The media doesn't mean ****. That was my point.

My reasoning is that if you were to take the current COMAND CD collection and put it on a single DVD, ya it would be a little more convenient but not enough so to warrant an upgrade to DVD.
I've driven from LA to Vegas several times without ever swapping CDs.
If you are driving coast to coast on say I40 (66) which I have done a few times, you would stop for fuel (food and petrol) and to take a leak, more times than you would have to change CDs.
Now if you are talking about a whole new operating system and more detailed and configurable CONTENT, whether it be on a DVD, CD or copied from a magnetic tape to a hard drive, that would be a major improvement.
Contrary to what Wired once said, the medium is NOT the message. (http://www.media.org/)
That is all I am pointing out.
BTW, Happy Halloween everyone!

Functional and useful. Combined with the glove box changer is a well intergrated system with more than adequate sound quality. The NAV discs have the right level of info and changing them as you pass from one area of coverage to another is not an issue. Clearly not a cheap option, but IMHO not a toy and completes the appearance of the dash.
