I am interested in getting a 1 pc spoiler by AMG or ReNNTech but have a hard time finding pics of it. What I'm really looking for is the spoiler below (or something similar) in the pic. I believe it was a Renntech coupe (before they developed the wide body kit). I went to www.autoclass.net and the have AMG Coupe spoiler listed ast $190 but I don't think thats the rear-deck spoiler perhaps a rear valance/skirt? Anyone with some info on what the AMG European C Coupe look like (link, URL, pics, etc) I really appreciate it. Thanks all.

 

The AMG spoiler is much smaller than the renntech one. Here's the AMG spoiler on my car....personally I like the look of the renntech better.

Does the AMG ones come pre-painted? I've seen the RennTech 3 pc. spoiler and dont really like it. The one in the pic (the black one I posted) seems to be a single piece and really clean looking. Anyone know if thats the NEW spoiler RennTech made?

i think you're right kinda hard to see on black. But I heard that they have changed the material they use and made it a one piece. Do you know if the spoiler require drilling? They come primed to be painted correct? Thanks.

 

The renntech spolier, which is now a one piece, is glued on...a few people were having problems with alignment on the old three piece...the spoiler was apparently slipping.

The AMG spoiler is not painted but it is black whcih is the color of the materials used.

 

is there a AMG spoiler for the sedan? like those on the SLK32.

those are RennTech's rims. they got size from 17 to 19 i think.

 

Yeah, if you look carefully, you can see a hairline mark on the left where the spoiler breaks up.

tberry - I don't get it; if you don't like the look of the 3-piece, you won't like the one-piece. As you've shown, it's hard to tell the difference when the trunk's closed. So, basically, why make a distinction?

And, yes, the material has been changed for several months now (was changed earlier this year with the 3-piecers). It glues on; no drilling.

Big - hope you've got a large bankroll - them RennTech rims'll cost ya.

 

those rims are about $900 a piece.

it's kind of hard to imagine how the spoiler will look like on non-black cars cos on black cars the spoiler kind of blend in with the black taillight and window.

 

no offense to the owner of this vehicle but I didnt like the way this look (the 3 pc. look kinda.....divided meaning doesnt flow smooth). also as someone has mentioned there'll be alignment issue with 3 pcs over 1 pc.

yes.. it's a real dual exhaust from Renntech as well.

 

How do they install it...I would have thought the compartment of the spare would get in the way...and does it improve performance at all?

 

I'm sorry.. it's not a real dual exhaust. I was confused with the one from Carlsson. It's just an extended pipe that leads to the set of dual outlets that give it the quad exhaust tip look.

 

That pic is one awful install (taking pics in mid-install didn't help, either). STFF for pics of my spoiler - I put a good deal of them on (would like to think that I had a hand in so many Orions being on this board :p ) over the months.

I've had mine since March, so I should know about alignment issues, and I've had none.

Still think that you're quibbling over a small issue, especially now that it's a one-piece assembly, so you wouldn't have the 3-piece "problem" anyway now. I do think that it's a better-looking spoiler than the AMG one, though.

 

no u were right, that is the quad exaust from RennTech. It's different from Carlsson.

 

how much would you think all the mods on this car would cost? Wheels, spoiler, exhaust, probably larger crank, and the whoole shaabang

 

Many thousands of dollars. Go to renntech's website. They should have prices on everything.

 

wheels are gonna be your biggest cost (wheels+tires ~$3000, spoiler/paint/install ~$450-500, rear muffler ~$600, Susp. ~$1000) Thats just to get the look going. Anything under hood ?????

 

Don't you guys think these rims are by far the best looking aftermarket ones you've seen on this car?
