To C55 or Not?

Nice upgrade man The color looks fantastic in the pics. I wouldn't debadge that car if I was you haha, but it looks good with the flat hood badge. Are you going to do any mods to this?
You might want to work on that lawn of yours after you are done playing with the car haha

I actually asked for that, the old school sales manger said nope, then I asked for Sirius radio and he said go to the auto audio across the street so I asked for the Bluetooth kit and he called loudly for security (seriously, he yelled "Security!" but jokingly). So I tried all the tricks in my bag.I did the K&N thing and will be lightening it (spare, battery, resonator, exhaust) then I would like to lower it 1.5" then get the Kleeman headers in there and an ECU tune (maybe Kleeman's maybe Speed Innovations which I liked). That's my Stage I plan.

Not many, maybe a few. I already did the flush hood ornament. I have my eye on an AMG flush hood ornament and "star" CLK-style "star" grille on Ebay. Probably junk. And the lowering spring are more for an aggressive look than performance, if I truly wanted better handling I guess I'd opt for some high-end coil-overs. But that's about it really. I put my V-TECH SS on it tonight, re-calibrated it, and ran a 4.9 sec 0 to 60 with a 2.2 60' time on the very first try. If I can get my launch down to a 2.0 or a 1.9 it should be at least a 4.7 or a 4.6. I've read that it can do 4.5 (sounds fishy thought) so I am working on my launch. But mostly I am going to try to do the performance oriented mods.

Well HBL will have a very quick 2006 Iridium C350 Sport with NAV, an SI ECU, deleted resonator, a paint-matched CLK-style grille and CF/chrome shifter on their used lot very soon and I can tell you they paid exactly $28K for it!Yeah, sadly. If I had the stocker around I would have swapped out your CF piece and kept it for the new car. I really liked its weight and will likely get another. The stock MB knobs are just too light for me when the going gets hairy. I find myself driving the new car in Manual (not S) mode 95% of the time.

And you should have had H/K sound on your C350.
I think this C55 is great! Nav is not a biggie, xenon lights is the biggie, the C55's options are arranged in different packages than the other Cs. The Diamond black paint is a great colour, since it is exclusive to the "Sport" sedan C-Class models.
Congratulations on the new acquisition. Makes me wish I had at least considered zoink's C55 when it was up for sale.

Yeah, that average included two 0 to 60 blasts with the V-TECH and a lot of "aggressive" driving. I got 21mpg on my casual run to the office and back which is 40 miles combined and half highway, half stop-and-go (for the locals that's Greenway to Toll Road to Rt 7 to Tysons).

Like I said earlier, my money is on for you getting a speeding ticket before the car is a week old
The temptation is too great to just keep it inside the legal limits. Who wouldn't, with 911 performance but able to take golf clubs and 3 passengers!
Although I must say having a 5.5L motor in a small car like that is a bit excessive. I can't imagine what an extra 173hp and 184lb-ft more than my 6sp 1.8K would be like as I find that it is quite sufficient and catch myself blasting around especially right after coming from my anemic Acura

C55 vs M3 vs Evo: all stock. This may have already made the rounds here but I just saw it on another board. Too cool, I had to watch it twice ...
