My dealer is checking but how much did u pay for RennTech...

Hi guys my dealer said they will check and get back with me. I wanted to know how much did you guys pay for the RennTech spoiler for coupe painted and installed by an MB dealer. I know a great shop that can do it but if the price diff is minimal I'm going with the dealer. The spoiler is $375 retail and paint+install (no drilling just glue on) I figure around $500. Thanks for any info. Also, the dealer gave me $50 gift cert for acessories (filling out survey perfect) and I'm thinking of getting the cargo net and SL e-brake pedal. Any other idea instead?

The paint & install should run about 400-500, so you're in the ballpark.

I'd strongly advise against the cargo net (ignore 230Jeff's response to this post! ); since it's kind of free money to you, I'd suggest the c class pen - fits perfectly in the holder in the glove, and is just a dumb enough purchase (when I use it, I always get a chuckle out of what an idiot I was for getting it, but it is kinda cool) to be worth it for the humor alone.

Other option: couple of shirts, valve caps, or something for the kiddies.

I am very happy with my cargo nets. The sill net is used to hold a bottle of Z6 quick detailer (and keep it from leaking) and a couple of small microfiber towels and a few other small items. The floor net keeps the umbrella, books, etc from flying around. They are not useful for groceries.

Lynn thanks I just called my dealer and I'm still not clear. Now I figure the floor net uses the 2 D rings on back of seats and 2 D rings on floor (I just need it to hold books and stuff from flying around. What is the sill net? is that the envelope/pouch like net that goes from left to right at the edge? BTW my dealer wanted $45 for the cargo net that more than MBUSA!!!

The floor net uses four D-rings in the floor. Two of the D-rings are hidden under the mat. There are slits in the mat for them. You are correct about the sill net. It comes with a couple of anchors which replace grommets in the trim piece on the hatch sill. While some people have had them pull out, I have not. I don't put heavy objects in the sill net.

Unhappy

okay so dealer called back and said it'll be $1000 (999 to be exact) for RennTech spoiler painted/installed/everything. I thought thats a bit too much. I'm thinking the spoiler retail is $375 (dealer gotta be cheaper) and shipping should be like $50, paint let say $200 (although thats alot) then install say 2 hrs at $80-90. I think the whole deal really shouldnt cost more than about $800 (generously).

wow, thats a lot. where i live (Canada), a good body shop will charge about $250 CDN to paint and install. you sure you can't find anyone cheaper? by the way, i wouldn't go to the dealer because they're no better than anyone else.
