check your pm...
just to clarify, kineda has installed the amg swaybars on his car - total costs of about $160. he said many of the smaller pieces are the same (same part numbers) so you can reuse them. only the swaybars and bushings are required.
but, even though the eibachs are about $200 more, is the extra stiffness worth it? (ok, sorry, corrected my moron math... :p)

Jeff, did you get your shipping confirmation from the Tirerack? Just got mine - it's on the way!!!!! Can't wait.
Young, extra stiffness is always worth it.
Oh, a good idea for the car as well.

Yeah, mine are in OH also. UPS says that my delivery is scheduled to be here on Friday. We'll see.
Are you installing them yourself? I'm either going to take them to my local shop, or wait for warmer weather to put 'em on. I'm in no rush, so prob. will wait it out and not be so lazy.

For those who already had them installed,,, do you think there is too much oversteer in the car now(rear too stiff I think)?
My the rear tires on my C32 spins easyly in turns now,,, even when exiting parking lots(one of the rear tires will lift up in the air and cause the rear tire to spin)!
Would adjustable rear sway bar linkage fix the problem?

how much are they charging to install them? i found a local shop that will charge $75/hour... he gave me a very rough estimate of 1.5 hours... i told him it should take a pro less than an hour.

BTW: Any comments on ride quality effects from the Eibachs? Any more comments on handling, doesn't sound good on the sedans, are the coupes any better? I'm trying to decide on adding the front AMG (have the rear already) or get the Eibachs now that they are real.

That's why you have friends with tools and a garage. BTW, speaking of Home Improvement, saw Al last week with his wife and kids, snapped this picture of him. Really nice family.

WHAT?????

I didnt find any sort of strange bolt on my car! The installation was straightforward. It only took me 45 minutes total to do the whole job.
c230 you should have brought the car to me in NOVA!

45 minutes! That's impressive, it took me about an hour just to do the rear but I had to jack the car up, put jack stands on, remove the wheels and then use hand tools on top of that then reverse everything and clean up. If you have a lift and airtools all set and ready I can see it easily being a 45 minute job. It's just hard working under there with a 5' long object trapped in between the muffler and the chassis when you only have about a foot of head room.
As a reference point, it's about the same level of difficult, time, frustration and knuckle busting as putting in a new crank pulley and way easier than putting in the intercooler.

Some issues came up during and after my installation!
2 of my front bolts stipped also they are "reverse hex"! The front end link bolts does not fit the sway bar so the holes on the bar has to be drill out!
After the install the car "3 wheel" a lot going in and out of parking out entrance! I think it's caused by the over size rear bar!

are these comments just for the eibachs?
the front bolts - did you install them and then take them out again? or are you talking about the original ones.

Yes, I am referring to he Eibach bars, the holes where the sway bar linkage bolts goes in is not big enough for my C32! And I've hear other C32 owners also experience the 3 wheeling problem!
