The C-Class GAS MILEAGE thread
I use to get 22mpg in city and 28 on freeway(20minutes trip), I hit 32 once 2hour trip. When I tryied the gramma style in city I got 25-26

I was so amazed. that was my discovery of the month!
(Shift early at 2K rpm and rev a lil more for higher gears without reaching 2.5k rpm so the supercharger wont kick in at least for my M111).
130-140km/hr 9-10L/100km (23-25mpg)
If I drive conservatively using cruise control
108-115km/hr 6.8-8L/100km (29-34mpg)
Lower number is better
It is amazing how much better the fuel mileage when you drop your speed from 130 to 105km/h (81mph to 65mph)
The optimum economy is at 85-90km/h (50-55mph) Grandma driving and once I did that on the highway for a test and got 6.5L/100km (36mpg)

The Best of Mercedes & AMG
FYI our tire pressures are not what is printed on the sidewall of our tires.
In the winter, car's get less mpg, maybe 2-3mpg less. I can't wait till spring, it's way too cold up here!

****ttyyy hahah
gj MB, was VERY surprised with my mileage even for the highway. --now i need to put in my new air filters that are just sitting here staring at me, and try again!
I reset the computer once, while I was in motion, and the computer went up to 40mpg, but that doesn't count lol...
However, the most mpg per tank that I've gotten has been about 25. (Dividing miles driven by gallons filled)
I would love to get 30mpg per tank. It would make me feel like I'm fueling my 94 Corolla again lol...
so i was actually getting around 34 on my first couple trips with the 05 komp.. well now i cant get the computer to read any where past 27 on the same trip and the same speed on my way to work with the 06
is there really THAT much difference ?? i mean i know the komp is a 4 banger, but you add that SC to it, it SHOULD equal out to the 2.5 in fuel economy????
ughh feels like i took the lessor of the two evils
worse gas mileage, but a more "reliable" engine
also.. that 7 spd driver adaptive transmission.. say the person that had the car before i did beat the **** outa it, and the transmission shifted to that persons driving style, would that possibly effect the mileage at all??
i know thats a stretch, but it makes me wonder... if so, how long will it take to get the computer to adjust to my driving
anyway, try something along the lines of puttin the key in the ignition in the on position without cranking the engine. press and firmly hold your gas pedal completely to the floor. hold it there for 5 or 6 seconds and release. now walk away for 2-3 minutes or just listen to a good song, and it should be reset

35mpg mostly highway with @ 12 traffic lights this morning.
