I haven't reset the trip computer in over 3000 miles, and my average MPG over that time is 13.4 MPG. Probably because I drive all city, short distances, with a lead foot. My average speed over that time is 14 MPH, because we have a light on every block where I live. Should make you feel a bit better no? The good news is I only have to gas up twice a month.

MBUSA....in the winter, I notice a significant dip in my mileage. Typically, driving on the highway (about 65-70mph), I'll average over 30 mpg on a 25+ mile trip. Same trip in the winter time, and I'll average about 24-25mpg.
Some factors:
Gasoline may be different in the winter. I know here in New England, they change to some winter blend. That might throw the mileage down a bit.
Tires...I switch to Winter only tires (not all-seasons, but dedicated winter tires - Dunlop SP Winter Sport 3D's). I'm sure this definitely affects my mileage.
Temperature....I thought I remember reading that colder temperatures can result in lower mileage figures. Not exactly sure why.
Do you think you fit any of the above circumcisions?

All depends on stop-go-traffic.
I can get the display down to 10 L/100km on a good day when god grants me green lights, or as high as 14 L/100km when I'm stuck in gridlock for my 16km (20-30min) commute home.

its started sense i put regular gas twice in a row, normaly i use premium.
i reset the trip clock every time i fill up. the tires are fine and the car is running perfectly. the gas mileage is the only issue.

Yeah - my V6 will do 9.3l/100 on a good run & 14.6l/100 when the traffic is heavy & best on the open road of about 8.5l/100 at a steady 120 Km/h. With my lead foot & the speeds South African's usually travel at - i.e. as fast as the thing will go - much worse. Flat out at about 230/235 she does 19l/100 - same as my Holden 3.8l V6 did in gentle town driving when I worked in Aus. Holden flat out did 32l/100Km
