Gasket in between MAF and intake? Help please 2002 owners!

I pulled my MAF to clean it today. I noticed the fit between the 2 points shown in the pics is very loose...hmmm....seems like a gasket is missing?

When I started the car and the secondary air pump went on, you know, when you first start it, it was blowing up a storm at that junction!!
Even after the secondary thing had done it's thing, it was still leaking considerably. This has to have an effect on the air/fuel no?

Anyway, so I resubscribed to EPC, and I don't see any gasket that goes there.
Can someone check (you can clean your MAF while you're at it)
and see, is there some sort of gasket there?

I've included pics. It's easy to do, just undo the bolt that holds the air cleaner to the plastic tube 1st, and then it's easy to get to the 2 T20 screws, and use a large pair of pliers or vice grips to get grab the spring clip for the tube on the other side.
I used vice grips on the way back, first grabbing it, then tightening the vice grips till spring clip was all the way open and the tube slip right over the MAF.

Can someone please check? Is there air leaking between the 2 points shown in the red arrows in my pics?
Is there a gasket of some sort that I'm missing? (M111 only)

Geez, are we not buddies any more?
You never call me anymore.......

That junction does have a round O ring rubber gasket that should roll onto the MAF.

???? LOL! Really I am! Everything is cool....though at times, I'm left wondering what happened to E? (FIAT stuff you wanted? Anyway, it's all sold on ebay) I reckon you're just a busy man.

Damn, I wonder why they don't show it in the EPC? Just an O-ring eh?
Wonder how long thats been missing!

UPDATE: Cheapest Mercedes fix in history!
49 cent O ring from Ace Hardware, done!

It certainly can't hurt to put one in...
I could feel the air leaking out.
Likely part of the problem I've been having lately.

Carlos;

If the diameter is corect, it would work, but the seal I have is a rubber ring.

I have tried some O-Rings but don't found the correct one here in Spain; Maybe the size is in inches istead of mm. All the ones I test leaks also.

Do you have the size of the one you have used?

Thanks

Ruben, I just walked into a hardware store, and got permission to take several sizes outside and check.
It's ok if it stretches a little. Ha, I'd forgotten about this.

It rectified the air leak!
