Service Intervals
I have a few questions about the service A and service B intervals. Is this something that can be done on your own or do you need to get hit with the dealers charges. Also what is involved and how do you rest the message on the instrument panel? Thanks!

I did a search and there is so much in there I don't know where to start. Be nice to have a thread of all the service schedules, whats required, and good places to get the parts......

How about start by doing a search and reading? There's no need to have a thread about service schedules and what is required when it's all listed in your service booklet/manual.

OK I didn't get that book when I bought it so no need to be a smart a$$. I'll see if I can get one from my dealer. Thanks.

parts at www.autohausaz.com free shipping over 50 bucks![thumbs](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/thumbsup.gif)
a and b services are mostly glorified oil changes with inspections of belt, hoses, fluids etc.
you can do most if not all yourself and the reset procedure for the fss is in the manual.
Some good diy's on benzworld.org in the c class section
and the factory WIS procedures are always available with a one day subscription to starteckinfo or a yearly subscription to alldatadiy.com for $25.

If every 17 year old snot was as rude as the above member, no one would ever try to inquire into getting good advice on keeping their car in top operating condition.
Ignore him he knows Nothing and most of his 17000 plus posts demonstrate that all too clearly.

I know
enough of your posting history to know it is mostly filled with useless poppycock and doggerel.
To add to the rudeness you display to a new member seeking help is only more of the same.
ohlord![bow](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/bowdown.gif)
7000 or 17000 if you can't offer a bit of real help you are worthless.

Not helpful? Why should I have to spoon feed information that is only seven words and three clicks away? This thread was the 2nd result I found after searching using the term "service."

i agree might be a better idea if people try to search a little bit before starting a new thread. well of course its still nice when people are helping out on one of these topics which had been mentioned many times.
one thing i don't agree is to say someone knows nothing. damn, thats just wrong man, doesnt matter how many posts one made everyone knows something.

Asian you must be an idiot, although you are in Michigan so the cold probably froze your brain. My point was, till you put in your two cents, was to not have to read though 100 threads talking about all the different places to go to get the service done and in between all that find the info I needed. All you needed to do was tell me about the book not talk like you are some punk that things he is cool since he has an MB.
Like I said; seven words, three clicks later and I get a rough list of items performed on Services A and B.

You're a funny guy! How many times did you try searching? What terms did you use? When you found that the results that were returned to you were not to your liking did you make any attempt to modify the terms of your search? How many times did you try that?

there's a difference between trying and failing, and not trying at all.
there's a big difference in being lazy vs attempted.
there a huge difference between being helpful and giving a tip....versus
condescension and ***** slappin
the methodology applied is what separates constructive vs destructive....

and the op is correct about finding good concise sources of service info.
That is why on benzworld.org some of the forums put stickies at the tops of the model forums with diy's, common issues, parts suppliers etc.
At 17 he's still searching for something![Big Grin](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/biggrin.gif)

and it's mommys car,so how can we expect him to know how to even change a cabin filter?

Almost by definition examples of doggerel are not preserved, since if they have any redeeming value they are not considered doggerel. One example of doggerel might be the 10000 other posts he has that are mostly pure drivel.
