Front Seats

I have a 2004 c230.

Can the front seat be swapped Driver to Passenger?

I know moving the whole seat wouldn't work because of the left/right configuration,
But what about the cushions?

Is it a DIY type of job or would I need a professional.

I ask because the driver side is getting worn and the passenger side still kooks new.

Do you have fully manual, partially power, or full power seats? If fully manual, no, since the holes for the back adjust knob won't line up.

If its just the lower cusion you can swap those by removing it from the frame and swaping it. There are two plastic brackets that you will want to purchase from your parts department that will most likely need to replace in the process because they break when you remove them. The back might work to but with a little more work. You could swap the cover on that.

Depending on how bad the seat looks, an upholsterer could do it cheap. I owned the 450/380/560SL MB convertibles for years and the driver's seat had a congenital defect -- they would all get rubbed the wrong way and eventually the upholstery would wear out on the side. An upholsterer fixed it for like 100 bucks. I'd figure that out before I fooled around with your seats for safety's sake.
