Whats the difference between the E320's engine and the C320's?

Whats the difference between the E320's engine and the C320's?

They are the same 3.2L V6 MB engine.... so what is the difference between the configuration so that the E gets 7 more hp than the C?

Maybe the E has more free flow exhaust system, 2 muffler in the E instead of one in the C. Same case with the 240. In Australia C240 is rated 125 kw and E240 is rated 130 kw.

I believe that is the case - the E has a little more room for a more free-flowing exhaust
