05 C230 Kompressor
Hey all!

Im new to the Forums and new to the Mercedes.

I own a 05 C230 Kompressor Automatic Tranny blk on blk. The car has 37K miles. With 1yr and 4months warranty left. I got the **** 4 days ago. I drove a mustang before this. I still own it (2001 V6 with many mods). Wow, what a suspension and mileage and over all difference.

Is there any bulletins i should know about for this vehicle? Im taking the car in tomorrow to have it checked out for anything. Is there any documentation (service bulletins,TSB's, Service Complaints etc..) i can present to the dealer to have it replaced before it goes out? Any fixes i should know about? ANYTHING at all i can ask for getting replaced under warranty free of charge? Any thing that i can get done right now w out paying?

Thanks. Nice to meet you all.

BTW, im from Los Angeles,CA

lol - the 2005+ cars are much better in the reliablity department than earlier years. There's a thread somehwere around here that lists all the TSB's that are associated with the C-Class. If nothing is broken however, you should be fine.

Thanks! Everything is still strong on the vehicle except for the left side rear plate bulb and tail light dimness (sometimes). Other than that the car runs good.

Well, the mustang is for sale. Its posted on craigs. One of the first mods i should do on anyt vehicle would be intake and exhst and if its pos. disp supercharger, a pulley swap along with a good tune should do the trick. I was going to put an Eaton on my V6 from a 03/04 Cobra (all customized to fit my lower manifold). I was aiming for 330 rwhp and about 350rwtq, that alone.

But for now, i aint tampering with the car til the Warranty is over.

Whats the best bang for the buck mods (s)?

BTW, where can i get the manuals for the car? I dont have a service nor user manual. Where is the best place to get it (price wise).

And where can i look up what my car has? Like VIN search wise to see what options the ca SHOULD have?

Thanks!

1-800-FOR-MERCedes service DVD 60 bucks, well worth it.
Look up VIN (see exactly what the car IS equipped with), and parts catalog,
https://epc.startekinfo.com/epc/coverage.jsp
3 bucks a month, or 20 a year. Also worth it.

Check prices on pn's you find,
http://www.trademotion.com/partlocat...?siteid=213951
Remove the A in front of the PN.

Owners manual on ebay

When in for service, ask to have the pesky "NO PHONE" menu removed.
Search on the forums for the details.

Congrats on your car.
Lots of people here are from the LA area.
Not me though.

Please look through and read all the stickies. You'll find lots of useful information, especially in the AFTERMARKET/DIY STICKY.

If you have questions about some of the information listed in there, you can bump old threads to discuss.

if you register on www.mbusa.com with your VIN, you can download your owners manual as a PDF
