Fix it Tickets
So I Got 5 Tickets all in one month 2 weeks apart. The first ticket i recieved was a Illegal U-Turn and No Lisence Plates. Then the following week after i got 3 tickets; Tints, No Lisence Plates and Blue indicator Lights. Now I have Court tomorrow and have came to a few conclusions about everything. My friend has a White C class and she said i can borrow her car and just swap the plates so i dont have to fix all the mods on the car.
Has anyone recieved tickets for the similar things and how did they go about fixing it???

What state do you live in? You should just take the bulp out so there is no turn signal on the side. Many cars just have the reflector so cops probably couldn't even tell that there is susposed to be a light there.

that sucks those pigs hate man.... i got 5 tint tickets but i paid them off and kept the tint, upstate pigs dont like tints. i do have blue signals tho but my mirrors are still amber never had a problem...
i would put the amber bulbs back in if they hate like that

MY friend did the same with smoke outs but he told me it cost like $110 to leave the ticket unfixed...so it wouldnt be worth it for me..Im still debating on what i should do.

Yeah..i asked everyone i know whos got a tint/fix it ticket and they alll say that the officer just walks around the car and checks everythign off. That's what they did on my old car and i was like..damn thats all...ic oudl have tooken another car and just put my plates on it..lol

My SLK still don't have front plate.. dealer didn't do anything...
and yesterday i park at 7-11 and 2 cop pull up park next to me
(yea buying donut i guess..)
they get off their car and check out the front of my car, what came in my mind is "*****tt you dont, you better not!!"
then he came to my side and ask, "new car??" i said yea and he tell me "ok drive safe"
and yesterday i park at 7-11 and 2 cop pull up park next to me

Install the license plate....and remove the blue lamps.
Get those signed off....and see if he checks the VIN.
Do that today before court.
They you'll know if it's ok to proceed with your evil plan.
You can tell the judge you got 2 things signed off, and you need a little time to resolve the tint issue.
Why you going to court anyway on fix it tix?

Yeah, in the bay area, they tend to leave you alone if you're
driving a nice car. They love to hassle people in beaters though.
It's a car culture crazy area, and the cops don't care too much about tint and such.
Except in Santa Clara....beware.

Switching cars to fool the court is unethical. Your friend who suggested it in the first place is unethical. Those people on this forum who are supporting this switch are unethical.

I swapped the plates and it all worked out...I even told the officer after and he laughed....LOL Jk...yeah i looke daround and thought it would be highllyyy Illegal so i just unmodded the car and im going to take it in tomorrow for an inspection. In conclusion, just so we curious W203 modders know if they do check the vin..i'll let everyone know tomorrow. It was a good idea but good ideas that are that extreme and illegal is not my style. So yeah ill let every one know tomorrow but SHAKE that was a pretty smart idea you had

it seems to me that pigs are after ppl with window tint, blue signal bulbs??? they should stop bustin up parties, cars with light mods and should step up and arrest some murderes and rapists

Why not replace the amber bulbs for some silver ones?
They are amber when glowing, silver when not.

The local police have an annual football game they play in and sell tix for.
They call it the "Bacon Bowl". No joke. So, we all know where Bacon comes from. Piggies! Oink Oink!
As far as stupid things to get pulled over for, my nephew got stopped for running a stop sign on a BICYCLE! In front of his house!
He'd missed a weekend work date for a previous issue,
and they arrested him, despite already havig a court date set up to resolve it. They sent him to 3 different jails in 4 days.
When he did go to court, they gave him time served for the 4 days on the original issue and released him. OK, yeah he's a bit of a dumbass. But he's my nephew.
As fas people swapping VIN's it happens a lot in the older car world for getting smog. People keep a 2nd car as a "Smog mule", and swap all the VIN tags and plates. Yup. Highly illegal. It happens every day.
An owners club might share a "Smog Mule" among the members.
