Drilled rotor upgrade on 2003 Sedan?
I did some searching but I couldn't find an answer to this question. Can drilled rotors be installed on a 2003 sedan as an even swap? I was going to have my front brakes done at an indy & I was told that my rotors were too thin. I was quoted at $487 for the front brake pads/sensors, rotors, and brake fluid flush (I'm at 40k miles). This price includes drilled rotors. With that price I might do it myself, but my wife made me give up doing my own work when we got the Benz. When she hears the quote that might change.

What about OEM?
rlee or yeuchau, do you know if the 2004.5 and up drilled OEM rotors are a direct swap, or is some modification or spacers required? The parts place is telling me that if I don't have the sport brakes, then no. Thanks.

Stoptech would be nice. For $2000 for the kit, my car would stop great, and then my heart would be next. I was really just looking to do a small upgrade while I was changing the rotors anyway.
My brother works at a small used dealer and they have someone that does brakes for $40 and he did a good job on my brother's GS, so I'm probably going to do that. I spoke to the parts supplier today and he told me that he doesn't list any drilled rotors for the 2003 sedan with the non-sport brakes. He sells Brembo, Zimmerman, a couple of the companies that that MB uses OEM, even some off-market made in China rotors- none are a direct fit without changing the whole brake setup.

When I bought my StopTech Stage 2 kit (front and rear rotors/pads/stainless brake lines/brake fluid) it cost $600. I can't find pricing on their website now, but maybe the $2000 you are envisioning includes new calipers? You can certainly just get new rotors to replace your stock ones, and they won't thin down as fast as stock.
