Hi all! I have an US Specs, 2006 C230 Sports Sedan with Command Navigation. I'm currently living in Germany and my Command Navigation doesn't seem to work over here. I went to the dealership and they stated since it's US specs there's no way it's going to work in Germany.

I was wondering if there's anybody out there with the same situation or somebody that knows a way to make it work over here. Thanks for your help in advance.

 

euro COMAND works in US... i don't see y US COMAND would not work in europe...

 

I was aware that it didnt work in Europe when I bought the car, and I was cool with that. I'm just wondering if there's a way to make it work.

 

Sell your US Spec one on ebay or through the forums and purchase a Euro spec one. I'm sure it wouldn't cost that much to change it up as many do want navi

 

I have a euro nav on my car but it wouldn't work in the US either. Want to trade? Mine is 06 too.

 

that's weird that the 2005+ EURO COMANDS don't work in the US.

I have a pre-2005 EURO COMAND and has worked flawlessly in the US with US Naviteq CDs. Now I get to test out in Germany when I move there.

Anyway, best bet is to swap your US COMAND with a EURO COMAND. I'm sure there are Mercedes-savvy tech shops that can do the conversion if you're willing to spend the $$$.

I originally have sat. radio and swapped it with the Euro Command. I only had the head unit part installed so nothing on it works besides what I had before the install. I have the US map DVD but when I put it in nothing could be read. Do you know how can I get it to work? Thanks.
