sand paper, masking tape, engine paint, clear coat. then your labor. its pretty easy just takes time.

all can be purchased at a local automotive shop.

I would probably resist the urge to paint my $40K+ brand new Mercedes with spray paint.

$175-$250

That's pretty much a minimum charge for painting anything automotive these days...

You can do a high quality job yourself for about less than $30 + your time. If your time is worth more than $75/hr have it done professionally regardless.

I had the chrome bead blasted off. A shop that does sand blasting can do it. Once the chrome is off your body shop will paint it in a heartbeat!

Go to a turbine shop, they have sand blasters, or find somebody that cleans iron/steel parts, they should have sand blasters.

Its important to beadblast it as opposed to sandblasting. Beadblasting uses a medium finer than sand. Sand may tear up or pit the grill's surface.

Well, there is different sand grains, I had a fine grain in my mind, there is small sand blasting machings that don't put out too much pressure. But beadblasting is the correct way to go.

cost on painting

it cost me about 200 dollars but if you happen to drive on the highway alot it will start chipping after a while because of pebbles hitting it, so plan on painting it every six months or so.

I don't think it looks good on a red car, grill should be red for the red car, IMO
