I called around and other tint places recommended me to go to this place. I was skeptical but they stated they are official tint place for MB of North houston and the person on phone knew about how metallic tint interfere w/ our rear glass etched antenna...etc so I went over there. I dunno what they did but 2 hours later my car was tinted (they refused to do illegal tint so I got 35-20-20). It cost me $135 and I have to wait 3 days at least until I can roll down...........so time will tell. I'd probably roll down on late Monday or Tuesday...........crossing fingers

Is it SunTint at FM1960? I kind of found out about that place from speaking to the service advisor at MB North. I called the tint shop and yes, they'll only do legal 35 at front AND they only want to do the non-metallic tint for MB vehicles because of possible radio reception problem. One problem with non-metallic tint is that you just don't know how long they'll last (3 year warranty).

Do you know the name of the person who quoted you the price?

And since you have the non-metallic tint, AM works okay?

And please do reply back to this board later next week because I really would like to know if their tint will scratch (let's all hope it wont!).

yep thats the place. but u know i've had all my cars tinted and for some reason the legal tint looks nice and dark on this one. U can pay 199 for lifetime instead of 3 yrs but my car is on 3 yrs lease so thats good enough for me. yeah I realllllly hope there'll be no scratching. I bought my car from MB Greenway and they wont even do the tint (well they would but they say it'll void warranty b/c they may have to open up the door.....but they're the friggin dealer!!.....weird)

Houston is a crazy MB town. I've seen more G-classes and S500s than in 4 years in the northeast. tberry- do you see the C32s and S55s in and around the doctors parking lots???!! Gorgeous cars!!

well interesting thing about working in Med center I see alot more M3s and M5s and latest 7series when i'm by Texas Children Hospt......the other German is Porsches. I see more MBs in Galleria though. where do u work at Trek?

tb- i'm a student at bcm and while i don't drive to school, when i go to the gym on the 8th floor, i park in the loading docks and walk through the parking lots next to the TIRR and the jewish wing. I'm blown away. Only seen 1 M5 so far, but lots of porsches and other smokin cars.
