painting...
Hey everyone...
For those of you painting the impact strips yourselves...
Where did you get the color match paint?
Special place or your local hardware store?
Also- Did you guys paint a clear poly over?
Any help would be greatly appreciated!!!
-Thanks
Charles

I got my paint at www.paintscratch.com I have used them for a few cars now with excellent results. I used their paint pen to touch up some chips on my C230 and it matched perfectly. I was going to use them to paint my impact strips, but since my car is going into the body shop for repair this week, I am going to have them paint them. Yes, use their clear coat as well.

So I read this entire thread (kinda) and dont think i saw the answer to my question...
Are the impact strips compatible for C55's? If im correct, C55 has a CLK bumper right?

You require to order impact strips for the C55 specifically. It has a wider nose & they are longer than the standard sedan. They might be the same as the CLK as the nose of the C55 is modelled on the CLK. I would order them specifically for the C55. Remember they are available with & without Parktronic sensors.
