hey wfb1746, i put mine on. i had to replace the driver side after the accident. i havent had problems at all. i just slide in the edges before snapping the front in.

that's exactly what i've been doing....just sliding the side closest to the wheel in and trying 2 snap the front in....is there a trick to this? or is it just a straight snap in?

Euro Impact Strip Lighting
Hey guys whats up,
I remember reading a thread about what to do with your side marker lights when you install euro impact strips. I remember reading that you can plug something in place of the light bulb, so there wouldn't be any errors. Now before everyone starts to chew my head off about STFF, I did, and didn't find anything.
I had them on my '01 C240, but just left the lights dangling within the wheel wall, which is kinda ghetto.

Can you ask Steve to check your car during your install and see if this feature can be turned off or not? I will be installing front and rear PTS by the EuroPimp in Nov so it will be nice to know ahead of time.

it is but wrap the bulb in high temp tape. mine have been wrapped for over a year with no problems. Steve said he may be able to turn them off and when i get my UHI installed the end of this month ill ask him. i have the Euro Impact Strips now and im gettin gmy PTS installed in end of Oct. early Nov. so i dont wanna have to remove strips with PTS sensors to change out bulbs if i dont have to. ill let you know what i fing out regarding disabling the side marker bulbs.

is Steve doing the PTS install for you? are you getting full PTS or rear? im about 1/2 way thru gathering my parts right now. about another 6 weeks and ill have everything. im going to start the install once i get my rub strips in which should be next week. i have the wiring harnesses (all 5), sensors (painted), washers, clips, and switch row. rubstrips and dash vent and dial should be here next week. then ill install those and once i get the displays in about another 3 weeks ill put those in, then all that is left if the Control unit which will be here in 5-6 weeks and ill install that. then it will be complete and operational.

- do the PTS rub strips have the holes already pre-punched for the sensors ?
- what is the dash vent & dial needed for ?
- does the rear display, also come with the 2 rear Reading lamps ? (like Wiedermann's)

I think the Coupe has the same amount of sensors as sedans (6 front, 4 rear).
The strips come with pre-punched holes.

Kev is right. all the parts are the same except for teh main wiring harness. it shorter since the coupe is shorter than the sedan. actually im using a switch a row from a CLK with the CLK heated/vented seat buttons since that will be my next mod. i have the sunshade button and headrest button there.
Sunil, is helping me with the PTS parts as well. he sent me all the WIS info. i may go as far as flying him out like Mario did if need be. he said he would walk me through step by step. the hard part is running the main harness which ill be doing next week or so, when i get my rub strips in.

yes you will. i have a 2003 coupe. the dash display has a hole for the vent dial. in order to fill this hole you need to buy the vent dial and vent. you cant get a dash display with out the hole for the vent dial. since i dont have the vent dial up there i have to buy it in order to make it all look stock.
