Thanks

The euro impact strip replaces the one with the turn signal light. Be careful because you just can't disconnect the light as you'll get bulb out warnings. You may have to tie wrap it out of the way.

If you live closer to the San Fernado Valley of So Cal, then you should try F1 Motorsports in No Hollywood-that is where I got mine so I can tell you they wont take long in getting the bumper strips. If you live closer to Huntington Beach-Evosport does sell them(according to their web site). Either way definately get them, they give the car a much "cleaner" look.

Try emailing Mach430(the moderator), he is usually pretty quick in replying to your questions about availability at Evosport.

Installation?

is it really easy to install them yourself? Does anyone have some instructions on how to do it? Any help would be great. Are there any places in San Diego where i could get them?

I don't think there's too many shops that specialize in European parts in SD, but you might want to try Autowerks Express in Claremont Mesa (858.715.1402). They've been good about returning calls and seem very helpful.

I agree, best way is to get the euro impact strips, it gives your car an extremely clean look. Im getting them aswell for my CLK. Curious, do the euro impact strips come in one piece which wrap about the front of the bumper? Im afraid that if i get them that i would have to drill holes for a license plate bracket. Can anyone help with this? This is for a W208 CLK430. Thanks!

curious,
with those prepainted lenses, does light emit through them at all? i would hate to choose between seeing blotches of light coming through or have to have a light out message.

Don't get pre-painted lenses! With respect to people that have them, pre painted lenses honestly look really tacky. For a few bucks more you could have the "real" look. As for install the little "strip" around the orange reflector just pops out, and then you pop the new strip in. You must make sure you leave the bulb attached though as your computer will think that the light has gone out if it is removed. I don't know if it is that simple for the W208, but it should be....

I spoke to Michael @ 5:10pm on Wednesday Feb. 18th and he was really awesome! They seem like a great company and I should be bringing my car in tomorrow to check out what they have! I'll post an update later on a different thread about their services. I'm really excited!

Their website isn't that great, but I'm sure that it'll be up to par pretty soon. Hopefully!

Euro-Strip and Bulb

I recently just got these and they are a great addition to the face of the car (more noticable the sides) but now my bulb warning is going off. Its really annoying. I was just wondering, I kept the bulb in and tucked the wiring inside. What do I have to do now? Isn't there a way that I could do have it deactivated or something. Do I actually have to replace the bulb?
