Porcelain Bus
Why not cut the wires to the lamp and put the 2 ends together to complete the circuit? I suspect the indicator light only goes on when the circuit is broken (i.e. burnt bulb).
Does anyone know if this would work?

on those two pics of my car you can see where the wire is that has the silver tape around the bulb. the bottom pic especially the bulb is located right under the 05 in the date stamped on the pic.

What to do with the bulb with Euro Strip
What have people done with the side marker bulb after installing the euro impact strip? Is putting a resistor in a pain in the ***?
I know some people have used high temp tape to tape up the bulb, does that work well?
Thanks!
-Jack

If you tape the bulb, it will over head and blow eventually and throw an error on your dash.
If you remove it, it will throw an error.
If you add a resistor, These get very very hot and can even melt the plastic bumper.
I tucked mine really deep inside the engine compartment so you can't see it.

I just pulled the pigtails and bulb back into the engine compartment and wire tied them to whatever. I've seen some GM product with a tethered trouble/underhood light which might make for a cool mod using this circuit, but have not pursed the idea. Nice updates Kermie.

...which reminds me...as soon as I have a US spec 203 hooked up to my stardiag, I have to browse through the car as I strongly believe that these sidemarkers are a variable setting that can be switched on/off...

What is this mod?
Hi, does someone have a pic of this mod? Does it have to do with the amber strip in the bumper? I'm thinking of an 05 320 and, but to swap out the amber bumper strip for white or black it out.
Thanks!
Thanks!

If I had any idea what the heck I was looking for!
I guess if you've seen hundreds of MB C class with all manner of mods the change might stand out, but I've only been considering buying one for 2 weeks and the only one I've seen is at the dealership and I can tell you it was silver.
All I can tell from the picture is that there's a black car with some non-standard (or not) wheels.
I was thinking of maybe some before and after shots - such as they do on the Bimmer forums - that the moderators can usually post - to help out the noobs.
