Cool, now you need the Climatronic to match all the pretty lights.

The headunit is actually relatively subtle, especially compared to other HU's on the market.

I like my manual temperature control knobs, thank you very much.

Great setup! What amp do you have in the truck compartment? Btw, the lit up buttons on the HU matches well with the instrument panel display!

the entire system was $2300 + installation; the head unit is $400 + adapters.

no, it doesn't use the steering wheel controls.

i don't have the carbon fiber interior; it's the stock aluminum trim frrom the coupe.

Is that amp fastened in any way? Or did you just throw it in there

And the other amp is installed in the same way on the other side I presume?

Nice setup

the amps are bolted to the frame of the car... it's hard to take a picture of. yeah, the other amp is behind the other side, and the sub box is easily removeable for full trunk use.

Looks good! I really like the way the amber buttons on the HU blends in with the rest of the amber interior backlightning. It almost make it look like a fancy stock HU. Very nice!

sorry not custom fiber but i think the stock aluminum trim looks better then my wood for my c240 ..since i like the sporty look better and it would match aftermarket stereo installs.

so your system cost $2300 canadian!?

hey session i was thinking of doing up my cars audio as well
but for my system i was thinking of putting in a
JL audio 500/1 mono block subwoofer AMP
and a 12" sub
along with maybe a cd payer like the one you have

what you think since i have no experience with systems..
oh and can an JL amp connect to a different name brand cd player?

no, the system was $2300 USD.

i'm no car stereo expert, so can only give but so much advice. however, i'm assuming the JL amp can connect to any aftermarket HU -- most amps are independent of the HU as far as i know.

Yes you can install any amp you like as long as your HU has pre-amp outputs otherwise you can purchase a line-out converter to make your amp work with your stock HU. Just beware that some HUs in the market does not have speaker outputs and only line-outs especially higher end HUs. so you have to get another amp to power your full-range speakers.

Any chance you could provide the info on your HU trim piece: Manufacturer, P/N, price, etc. Can't seem to locate one around here. Might be helpful to others as well.

Thanx

i used the Metra 1-DIN adapter for this -- search in the forum for this and you'll find the info for it. sorry, i don't have it off-hand!
