Avic D3 installed now SRS light ON C240

Hey guys, I installed the avic D3 (love it), still waiting for the bluetooth and steering control. all i did was remove the frame and disconnect the top plug that goes to the switches under the center vent. there was only one switch connected. i did notice that there were two identical slots but the plug only fits on one of them... anyways I pluged everything in and when i turned the car ON the SRS light now stays on and i get that damn message on my screen. if it helps the little airbag light in the center lights up for a fw seconds but then it turns of. I tryed disconnceting the - battery but it did not help.. so the its plugged in right but now im getting an error. Im sure its not a bad sensor cause this happen right when i installed the radio..
i did alot of search here but no luck.....

A local shop that has DAS.
My local guy tells me he charges $200 but I offered 50 bucks cash and he took it to clear SRS, and read the data for me, no diag. Just reading the data.

I try to avoid asking him for much, since I buy all my parts online etc.
But one of these days, I'll have him do it again, find out whats triggering my damn ESP errors.

time out...u sure you just didnt forget to plug one of the plugs into the center console? I have a d3 as well and have put a couple in 203's. The visit workshop and srs lights will light when one of the plugs is in wrong or not fully in. I have been testing the d3's before buttoning back up the dash and have thrown errors like crazy as everythign dash related was not plugged in.

When all was fine with d3 testing, replaced all dash components and all errors/malfunctions went away.

Come to think about it I have popped the dash all the time to get to my head rest monitor av switch when it was going bad and it would always throw a srs error. (C32) Put the dash back and have never had to go to dealer...

sorry for the rambling but just my 2 cents...

there is only 1 plug to be plugged in on the center console right..?.
right behind the hazard button.. i guess its in because all the switches work...
now at the bottom there is a bigger plug that goes into the ac/heat controls...

if the controls are the same as the 04 model then there should be two plugs, one specific for the SRS. i think

My SRS light came on today too

I installed the Parrot bluetooth adapter with the steering wheel cable and it works great. Had to power up a couple times with the dash torn apart to test things out. Buttoned everything back up and bam, SRS light is on. I took it back apart and everything is plugged in, I reseated the one connector up top of the trim in the far right plug. And, SRS is still on.

Is there any trick to reset it or is this a shop trip for sure? I have a good indy that I use, hopefully he can plug me in and reset it if that is it.

This is on my 2003 C240 that we just inherited (took away from) 86 yo grandma since her driving skills have recently greatly diminished. To above post, I only have one plug in the top of the trim.

I had the exact same problem with the SRS light after I installed my Avic D3. I'm assuming it was because i left the key in the ignition. I just took it to my local Mercedes dealership, spoke to the service manager, and explained what I did. They cleared it for free in 5 minutes. I have had it now for over 6 months and no problems since. That error was extremely annoying. The D3 is awesome, good luck.
