C350?

Hi Everyone,

I remembering reading somewhere in the past that the S430, E320, and ML320 engines will be dropped and be replaced by a 3.5L or 3.7L engine. If you have heard the same, please say so. Also, would this change also affect the C320, and the engine will be changed? Any input be appreciated. Thanks.

probably not yet with the C-class. You don't see Audi, BMW, and Jag coming out with a bigger engine for their A4, 3-series, and X-type.

the fact that the major competitors arent increasing engine displacement and the cost increase will be most likely why it wont happen to the C. but i do remember reading that the current 3.2 litre engines in the E and ML will be replaced with a 3.5L. i havent sead that the S420 will be replaced with a 3.7L but i wouldnt be surprised if it was.

The 3.2's are being replaced by 3.7's which will be called 350's. E350, CLK350, and I think I heard something about an SL350.

I have heard that the 3.7L engine is not going to be around for very long, and eventually there will be an actual 3.5L. So instead of going to a 370 and back to a 350, they are just going right to 350. We'll see if this actually happens. I haven't confirmed it yet.

Citron, you've been pretty busy posting tonight!!

I think the 3.7 liter 350 engine must be in production already because I saw a S350 on the autobahn yesterday. Not sure if the engine was a 3.5 or 3.7 liter but I guess it was a 3.7
