Are these bi-xenons good? Price seems suspect

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Merce...spagenameZWDVW

$288 for a pair that requires no special wiring or modifications?

Can anyone comment on these?

I have an '06 c230 sport coupe with halogens.

Thanks in advance!

they're cheap because they look nothing like oem bi-xenons
they probably will work.

i personally recommend the ones that look like oem bi-xenons and come with the hid kit, its about $450 shipped from ebay

Those are not bix.

They are cheap knockoffs with a cheap HID kit.

JUST SOME CHEAP PROJECTOR STYLE, AND the light output might be even worse than the clearn oem headlight

Just pay the $ and go OEM, and get the peace of mind that goes along with it.

Thanks guys - much appreciated. I knew the price was too good to be true.

Can anyone post a link to a reputable source for the OEMs? Also, are the OEMs truly worth it? Can anyone that's experienced both comment?

Thanks!

Many members have done the OEM retrofit, myself included. I don't know how I lived with halogens beforehand. Either www.calibermotors.com or Steve Krabbenborg at www.mbenznl.com. I went through Steve, I think pretty much everyone who bought off him will gladly vouch for the quality of his service and products.

In terms of functionality and sexiness, the OEM bi-x wins hands down imo, even more so than rims. Also, you'll be using the lights every night. If you ever drive on an unlit road, you'll know real fast where the $ went.

Excellent - thanks, again!

Do you recommend DIY installation, or professional? I haven't done much car work, and I really don't want to screw anything up.

Also, how do alterations such as these affect your warranty?

If you have the proper tools (ie standard metric socket set and sidecutters/screwdrivers) and are the hands-on kind of guy, it's pretty easy. If you're a total n00b at this job, expect to spend 2-3h. Also you'll need to get the car reprogrammed at the dealer (MUST be done ASAP or your lights will flicker like strobes, dangerous at night).

Check the DIY sticky on how to do it, and also start calling dealerships to find one that will do the reprogram.

well if you bought it off K1, they were like 400+, ebay around 300+ [when i got mine]

we should start a team... hmm, for all the people who have depos or some other cheap, yet doable part...

can't think of a name though

haha guess this club is quite a possibility.. LOL

now we gotta have a signature like the gun owner's club. LOL

mission statement:
This club is for people who would rather save $ than pay ridiculous prices,
for people who live their life in constant danger if their DEPO's melt,
for people who would rather get a coffee-can Magnaflow than that expensive *** Eisenman,
for people that loves to save a buck,
so that buck later will buy them a candy bar.
MB owners with somewhat rational minds,
UNITE!
