https://mbworld.org/forums/c-class-w203/228096-i-need-help-trim-panel-door-panel-removal.html might be the same on yours also- worth checking. some people like to tap into the power wire of the SAM/fuse box in the trunk. i didn't like the idea of jacking around with that since older models had issues with the SAM blowing. i wasn't going to take any chances- besides, i already had the interior out of the car anyway.

okay well it must be and 05 then, we have all the wires ran but we are stuck on one last issuse, we are tapping into the back speaker for the rca signal. There are two plugs going into the back speaker, one with white and brown and one with brown and pink, which connector should we tap into?

i know that when i did mine, brown/pink was one of the colors on the speaker wire behind the dash. i would assume it's the same on yours also- but i can't be sure since your car is a different year and model.

yeah, coming into the stock back sub was a brown and white and a brown and pink wires, i tapped into the brown and pink ones with the RCA adapter, its actually my friends car and he called me the other day and said that his subs are now like making noise when the radio isnt even on. Im not sure what this could be but in going to check the connections on this later today, maybe its a bad ground. He told me the car was on 07 floor model but i didnt really believe it when i saw it cause its clearly not an 07 just from looking at it. From what i understand the 07' had xenon healights correct? I noticed he has halogen lights on his.

I'm not quite sure if you're going to get rid of that noise But if you do, please let me know because I'm having the same trouble. It's not any sort of engine noise, its not from a bad ground, no difference if i hit a bump.. just once and a while with "Audio Off" I'll receive quite the "BOOM" from my trunk
I'm not using a sound level input box or anything (sounds like you are).. I've just got the speaker-wires tapped directly into the amps "hi-fi" input.. so anyways.. it also seems that i'm missing a lot of low tones... most of the "bass music" i would listen to has very low tones, im guessing 50hz? and obviously the MB stock HU isn't getting that low.. because a lot of the times the beat will stop and continue after the "lowest tone" was played... and will do it all throughout the song. probably just need a sound processor like jl's cleansweep to get back all the sound I'm missing... but as far as the random "BOOM" goes.. I have no clue

If you have a rear sub with premium audio, you also have a microphone above the passengers head. It listens for noise and adjusts the volume of the audio. The mic may hear a thump and adjust the volume in a way that causes the sub to move and make a sound.
