Auto Dimming Side Mirror
My Dealer in Atlanta tells me a new auto dimming side mirror, which was recently damaged (badly) that a new one runs $1,000 and another one down the street says $1,600! Do these people just make up numbers?! Is there any way to check on prices that a dealership gives you? I am really frustrated with MB Service and their outrageous prices and nonchalant attitudes towards them. Most of these service people drive 1980 Datsuns.

u can compare price at different dealer
for example
if u run into a dealer that quote u 1000
u tell the other dealer u jsut got quote for 500 from that dealer u just talk to (since these people would be lazy to call them up to see the price, well as for smythe WORKS FOR ME!!)
make some reasonable price of coz and not too obvous

The one I have is a PAX rearview mirror from a 2005 C-230 sedan. It has 2 wire connectors on the back of it. 41-3133-454 number on back.
