thanks for the kind words, guys!
I still need to try the Optimum Instant Detailer. I love their Car Wax and will continue to use it.

Hoping to take a whole weekend this summer and finally get it done. Just not enough hours in the day.
That Prima Hydra looks great. I love the spray waxes for a quick and easy application while drying. I alternate between Optimum Car Wax and Optimum Instant Detailer every wash while drying.
haha! well, your technique is much better than mine, so it probably doesn't need much work. Originally Posted by johnand

Phil is your grill on the w203 gloss or flat?...semi gloss? haha
It's gloss. It's painted the exact same color as my car.
I haven't updated this thread in a while, so here's a bit...
MJ, splinter and I went to Buttonwillow where we enjoyed a track day:

As for the C230, it hit 104k miles about a week ago and is still going strong.
It's making a rotational vibration noise at acceleration and I'm going to replace the transmission mount and flex discs at the next service (very soon).

Mine, too, Phil on the rotational noise under power - but only over bumps.. Have 115k on mine and 3rd transmission mount. The first transmission mount solved the problem for about 60k miles. The second one only silenced the noise for 7-8k. You think flex disc is the issue?

But, mine is only on its second transmission mount. I think it's worth a shot to try the transmission mount again since it's an easy install and cheap.
The only reason why I'm planning on doing the flex discs is because about 40k miles ago, a dealer told me that my flex discs were cracking. I figured with the car at 104k miles, I might as well do it and according to the shop it isn't hard to do either.

Looks like I'll need to do mine, too. The transmission mount is very cheap and very easy, but surely it can't be broken again on my car in 7k miles. It's gotta be something else with mine. I'm a bit ignorant on flex discs, is it possible they cause this noise? Sorry I'm not even sure what their purpose is - time for research.

To be honest, I'm not sure if the flex discs even have a problem. I figured since the dealer said something a while ago and since I'm at 104k that I might as well do it since they were relatively cheap and easy.Originally Posted by LILBENZ230

The noise is indeed troubling. Hopefully it's not an engine mount either. I initially thought my rim was bent, but I had it checked out and there were no issues and it balances fine.

I'll agree there.. even with the tractor-sounding M271, this noise is way out of place on the car. When I replace the gearbox mount I feel a big difference in composure, the car seems tighter. Per Glyn's suggestion, I'm going to change the gearbox mount once more here soon and have the flex disc checked at that time as well as some other things in the rear suspension/diff area.
Engine mounts aren't too expensive on part cost.. not sure about labor.

Alright, I added a new member to the family tonight.
Here's a teaser picture for now (for my friends that aren't on my F/B,
):

I picked it up from the dealership pretty late, so I didn't have time to take pictures in the sunlight. Better pics to follow.

Ok, since Matt got it right and Havoc got it half right I might as well post more.
It's a 2012 GT-R Black Edition in Deep Blue Pearl.
I picked it up last night and didn't have a chance to shoot any pictures in the daytime, so the pictures didn't come out too well. Here are a couple and I'll post more hopefully later.

I obviously already changed out the license plate bulbs to LED's (from AZNoptics) and I have some HKS exhaust parts waiting to go on.

Congrats, the black edition is out of control!
Do you dig the wheels on it?
Do you dig the wheels on it?
thanks, guys!
they're wheels with a lot of racing heritage as they're used on the NISMO racing GT-R's and on the Spec V. they're also one of the lightest wheels available for the GT-R. so, I guess they'll do

to be honest, I really didn't like the wheels at first. but the more I saw it and seeing it in person, I grew to like it quite a bit.Originally Posted by enochroot

Are you getting rid of the c230?
nope, the C230 isn't worth selling. I can't exactly drive the GT-R everywhere, so the C230 will be my more low-pro car. it also keeps my insurance low as well.Originally Posted by Shake
