Story about Mercedes Hats
I just wanted to share this. It reminded me that it really is a privilege to own an MB.
So on Thursday we had a work meeting at a country club here in Tampa, Tampa Palms Golf and Country Club. As we were walking out of the club for the day, I passed an E-Class and noticed a baseball hat on the door handle of the driver's door. We kept walking to the parking lot and there was a hat on the plant Director's door also. He drives a W202 C-Class. The group made the connection that both cars were MB's and as my C230 came into view, everyone noticed that my car had a hat also. We looked around the lot quickly and every Benz on the lot had a hat! They were new baseball caps with the MB star on the front and the logo of a local dealer, Central Florida Eurocars. Good quality hat. There was also a business card inside the hat. Talk about instant envy. One of the other guys that was with us has a nice BMW 330, and everyone was poking fun at him for having a BMW! Sure, this was a sales pitch, but this is the coolest sales pitch I have ever gotten. The next day the meeting continued at the club and then we played golf in the afternoon. I had to wear the hat, because I was sure the Director would. He did. Maybe there was a pinch of show-off mixed in too. It was a suck-up move, but I also wore it with pride.

Of course, I'm sure somewhere out there on another country club, all the Bimmers got caps while MB didn't. (yes, way to ruin a perfect moment

C230k coupe 500sec convertible
I need to start Tampa Palms Golf and Country Club instead of in Westshore area!
BTW I saw a c230 red coupe yesterday at International Mall -- it had a complete lorinser kit from the looks of it with the dual exhaust and side skirts-- wonder if the person frequents here?
